Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Mustang Course

The tee boxes and fairways have been over-seeded with rye. Recent heavy rains made the course soft but was playable. The wind was blowing about 15 mph which increased the difficulty. There is a lot of water to watch out for. My partner had played the course before and was very helpful pointing out where the water is. Without this help many balls would have been washed.

The maintenance of the course was very good.
The design of the holes was an average.

Typical Florida course in excellent condition. Plenty of water. Great par 3's but, the 12th hole is my favorite, where it is important to keep your ball on the left side of the fairway to have any shot at the green. Beware of the 12 ft gator near the 5th tee.

there are just other courses, for this price line, that id much rather play.

Thankfully we got a deal through Golfnow because if I had paid $89 plus taxes I would have felt robbed. The course was patchy all over, the rough was non existent in many places as was the fairway. The GPS in our cart wasn't working properly either. The green ran true and fast, this is the only positive from the course but the fringes where very untidy.

The cart girl met us on the 1st and said that was her finished and that no one was replacing her.

I holiday twice a year in Florida and have played a number of courses, this one is bottom of the pile. I was planning on playing the Flamingo at Lely, this now will not be happening.

Two courses. Different styles. Drains well considering amount of recent rain.

there was rain in the air but didn't last the whole day, the fairways were good -v.good,some greens did need a tlc,but on the whole good.

Course was in great shape, except for the Sandy condition of the aerated greens, especially the front nine. Bad timing for me I guess. The fairways were excellent and could putt on them easier. Very nice course and facilities, especially for the reasonable price.

Always a great experience. Course is consistently good.

We were to play Mustang but Flamingo was supposed to be in better condition. It still needs work, the greens still had sand on them from plugging and didn't roll true. Fairways were just ok. I expected better. Good range and practice area.

We played this course (Mustang) for the first time. The welcome was warm, the staff friendly, range is ok. The grass on the range is not the best.
Fairway and second cut is really really good. Greens are perfect.

Overall we will play mustang again!!

Great course, Friendly Staff except for Waitress @ Sams Sneads Tavern. Great & Beautiful course. Even though the greens had been punched 2 weeks prior to my outing, they managed to roll pretty good, Fairways in great shape, great layout, Free range balls. I love how the water hazard markers are where you cant see hazard due to elevation changes. I would definitely recommend & definitely coming back. Thank you Lely Resort.

i had an opportunity to play as a single. Play from the tips. Plan on playing again course again soon.

I had a 3 lesson package with the British PGA Professional called Paul. OMG it was the best experience ive ever had with a lesson, and ive been playing for over 30 years. He doesnt push a skill onto you he just informs and you do..... it was $200 for 3 lessons and i would pay double that. If your in Naples and you want to improve, you dont know hwta your missing.

The course is in excellent condition and well worth the price. Plenty of water to watch out for especially if you fade the ball.

Greens were extremely dry, sandy while fairways were soggy due to poor drainage. We had a good pace going until the back 9 when two foursomes jumped in front of us and slowed pace down to a crawl. No ranger to be seen. Would not play this course again

The Mustang course at Lely was a pleasant surprise. I played from the back green tees which made the course challenging. The fairways were fair and well maintained. The greens were fast and true. Overall an excellent experience.

The pro shop was very accommodating and allowed me to switch from the Mustang course to Flamingo Island. The course is in good shape but lack of rain has meant some greens with quite a bit of sand on them.

Overall, the course provides a bit of a challenge and has some very picturesque holes. I would recommend this track to even the lowest of handicap golfers.

Generous fairways but, very difficult greens.Practice facility was great.
