Fox Hollow Golf Club

Fox Hollow has a major problem. This is one of the best courses in the area. But nobody is going to want to play a 5+ hour round in 90+ degree weather. The course is always in great shape, good value for the money and challenging. But come on Rangers, do your job. There is no sense in have the 4:10 pace of play sign up if you don’t do anything about it. This is the 2nd 5 hour round in two weeks. I saw one ranger come back and report there was no gaps in play. Great. Do your job and move people along.

This was the first time we played a round in less than 4 hours. I think this was because of Mother's day. Usually, the pace is way too slow for me. I like to play ready golf.

Price was good for a hot deal, conditions are a little down then previous rounds. Greens needs some help. So do some Tee Boxes

The inside and outside staff act like I wasn't supposed to be there. I'll leave it at that. Never again!

Very long and challenging course. The fairways and greens are in decent shape too!

The course layout was excellent with just enough slop to change most players. The Staff and maintenance team provide outstanding customer service.

First time playing in a while, conditions have gone down since last year. This is a $55 course right now. Funny out but some greens/tee box’s need help. Only saw cart girl once on the front 9.

Course was beautiful but on hole 4 Ranger came by to tell us to pick up the pace. We were on track to finish course in time and no golfers were waiting behind us. His justification was that there weren’t any golfers on the hole before us. This created a rush and impact our enjoyment. Would reconsider playing this course again because of it.

The greens were in bad shape. You should have to $50 and play on through sand on 4 to 5 greens.

I've played this course several times a year for at least 15 years & it's NEVER been in this poor shape. Dry tees & fairways, several holes were more brown than green. A couple of greens were far from green with many diseased areas, a couple of greens even had patches ripped out & replaced as 'ground under repair'. The greens were also on the slow side even though the greens were cut short, were firm & dry. Never been at Fox Hollow when greens were this slow. Even a few downhill putts just stopped well short when I would have expected another 2-3' roll. Sand traps hard & wet, underneath the 1" of soft sand & though that seems to be a 'thing' here in Florida I don't expect that when paying a premium price (though mine was discounted through a hot deal) on a supposedly premium course. I've played many RTJ Jr. courses in my 60 years of golf & have NEVER played one in less than exemplary condition. There were many areas of weeds as well, something else I've never seen here.

The staff was very friendly & courteous & the cart was in excellent shape with a very accurate GPS. The driving range was also dry & hard as well as chewed up.

Like a couple of other courses I've played in the area, I doubt I'll be back this year. They are just not worth the asking price.

Note to Fox Hollow: you might find if you water at 6am it will benefit your grasses a lot more than watering at noon. No wonder the course is so dry.
