Fox Hollow Golf Club

This course is one of the best in the Tampa Bay Area. The problem is that they overbook the tee times

They said that they do 8 minutes between times. The problem is this course is difficult. A lot of golfers are playing the wrong set of tees for their games and this slows pace of play significantly. It took us over 3 hours to play 11 holes and we ended up walking off the course and getting a rain check. This was during the week and not on a weekend when you would expect more inexperienced players

We have played this course last year and like the layout so we decided to play again during our visit this year. We have not been disappointed. The course has a very nice layout with some challenging holes, ondulated fairways and is in good shape. Recently overseded which causes the greens to be a bit slow but still good. Overall absolutely worth the money and the drive.can recommend to everybody

Too bad, still a very nice golf course

When I made a tee time for Fox Hollow most of the reviews were positive and I looked forward to a great day. In the course of 10 days they overseeded and had a tropical storm. Course conditions were poor at best but we also got hit into twice even though we waited on every shot. The ranger was clueless and said we were behind. There was grass growing in the bunker sand and the greens were as slow as they would have been when sheep were the cutting tool. Be warned.

Overseeding let fairways and tee boxes playing like hitting out of rough.

Tee time was delayed almost twenty minutes because they were waiting for carts to come off 18 before spraying them down and putting them back out. Helped pace of play a bit but then it was a slog. This place always overbooks tee times and has five hour rounds, exacerbating their problems. Plus the starters are typically pretty rude. Would be a good course otherwise.

Have been a fan and customer of Fox Hollow for over 15yrs. Great course layout and nice bar/restaurant overlooking course.

Thursday was without doubt, worst experience.

Advised golf shop at check-in, mens bathroom sink has no hand soap. 4.5hrs later, bathroom never serviced with soap.

Course was cart-path only due to over-seeding which was not publicized at time of reservation. Tee boxes and fairways grass was overgrown to the point of zero rollout of tee shots.

Sand traps were abandoned without sand. Most were hard clay and some even had over-seeded grass growing in the clay. Have golfed around the world and have never seen that.

Such a shame this once beautiful course has fallen into such terrible shape.

Can no longer recommend this course, nor do I wish to return with current lack of customer service, high price and poor playing condition.

There’s got to be a way to let people know on this app if overseeding is taking place. Whole course was CPO. Not notification of that and no price cut. Course is normally terrific. Very disappointing to drive from St. Pete to show up to that, poor conditions, and slow pace. Stole my money. Probably won’t be back

Absolutely criminal they are taking $80 from people at the moment . Overseeding process . Greens are slow , most importantly the tee boxes were literal second cut rough length . Def do not go currently .

We played 9 holes and was not able to complete the rest as it was cart paths only as they over seeded. We asked for a rain check and because we booked it on Golf Now no rain check not nothing.

We weren’t notified before playing that it was cart path only and the back nine was closed so we played the front twice. Very long round. The golf course said they notified GolfNow but that didn’t help us any once we arrived. Drove an hour and a half to play and we’re very disappointed.

Greens were pretty slow for this time of year. Rough was short, and fairways were decent. Not sure what the need for cpo, as they were pretty dry, which made the round exceedingly longer than needed.
