About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Still one of my favorites
What's not to like about Zellwood. It's not Augusta . However if you just look at what is important on a golf course you definitely can't go wrong . Tees fairways and greens. Isn't that what golf is all about. Pace of play was slow today but for the price you pay to play here. Just shut up and enjoy the layout. There are some absolutely gorgeous holes on this course. I love it.

I booked on Golfnow.
Sadly , the back 9 was closed ( which is the more fun to play).
They were doing tree work!!
So played the front twice ( from two different tee boxes) 🤷♂️
Meet three gentleman and had a great time with them..
But the day turned out a big big disappointment !!
Residents ruin a good course
Played this course on a Friday afternoon. First 5 wholes were great. At hole 6 we got stuck behind two older residents (driving their personal carts). The pace of play was so slow, with them dropping 2-3 extra balls and retaking every shot. Course really needs a ranger. It took 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes!!! When I complained about the pace to the staff, they said "oh sorry, do you know their names so we can talk to them?". Ridiculous, no offer to refund part or round or give a discount to come and try again.
Zellwood connection
For some reason, Zellwood and golf now are not connecting... Detrel wanted to charge us at tee time, when golf now already did!
Get it together, or we won't play here again.
Great value
Great course m needs a little help, Great layout, nice people.
Save the Money!
The course is in horrible condition and its staff is just as antiquated as the grounds. The staff was rude when checking in. We stood in line behind a couple that were finishing making a transaction. The cashier then took payment from someone who wasn't even in line and walked in just before the couple finished their transaction. The person knew the cashier personally and made small talk while the person paid for the items he was purchasing. Most of the greens have weeds, divots, and are completely uneven. The cart path was just chunks of concrete and sand. I've played golf in a ton of places in the southeast, countless courses in Florida alone, and this was hands down the worst! For $45 a person (plus booking fees and taxes) you can play at far nice, much more maintained course with a staff that's respectful. Stay away from Zellwood Station!

Nice layout, some of the greens were dated, but nice and basic.dwcent pace, a little rushed. But not bad.

Pace
The pace of play on front 9 will make this course a tough one to revisit. Otherwise I would be back.
