About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Overseeding and Bumpy Slow Greens
The course was just recently overseeded which is not really an issue except for the overseeding of the greens caused them to be very slow and bumpy. Once they are able to mow and roll them, they should be good.

Spotty Conditions
We like playing this track because it’s a fun layout. Unfortunately, this year it’s a little spotty in terms of the conditions. Tee boxes and fairways a bit beat up…greens were OK but inconsistent. We will come back next trip but hope it’s in better shape.

Great Layout
I always enjoy Zellwood Station. Only shortcoming this time was the back nine was closed. They are installing fiber optic cable for the community.

The course was in the process of over seeding , the tees to the greens and we only got to play the front 9 twice. This course is very rough and should not be a 4 star compared to other 4 star courses in the area.

Good shape, greens FAST
Hot dang! These greens are lightning fast with some pretty tough pin placements. They’re like concrete, tough to stay on the green. Overall shape is in great condition especially for the price. Some tee boxes were a bit beat up other than that everything was fine. Staff was friendly, would return.

Nice course, fast greens.
Overall it is good, dry conditions, brown/burnt greens but rolling very fast. The layout is interesting, blind shots, elevation changes, side hill lies make it fun to play. Some areas are a bit rough with just bare dirt.
Course is a bit out of the way but worth the drive.

While the greensand fairways were in pretty good shape the tee box areas need improvement. Nice layout, had a great time.

Unplayable greens on several holes greens are unreal don’t get me wrong I love fast greens but put the pin in there right places where you can make the put in any direction not if you miss it buy an inch it rolls out another 20feet green keeper must be going through it to put those pin places in

Fun Course
The course has a lot of elevation and the green can be challenging. The greens were cut very low, hard, and fast. It was difficult to get a ball to stick to the hard thin cut greens. The greens that had undulation to them were really tough trying to adjust speed with the breaks. The course was in better shape than some other local courses. I had a great time.
