Wyncote Golf Club

Normal rate on the weekend is $120. This is WAY too expensive. Perfect weather on a Saturday morning and the course was mostly empty.

There was no starter, nobody helping with carts (before or after the round). Maybe this was due to the light amount of traffic, but definitely needs some TLC from whoever is running this place.

On the plus side, the course is tremendous. Greens rolled true, fairways were a bit wet for some reason (no rain recently), but overall, course in great shape. Fescue is always trouble, but keep the ball in play and it's a fair track.

This is one of my favorite courses in the area, but sadly, I will not be returning unless I can get a rate more in line with reality.

Definitely top 10% of public courses. Well maintained, greens were perfect, traps in very good condition and tee boxes well kept. No rakes around traps, though. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Rolling terrain, somewhat generous fairways but heather everywhere if you really let one loose.

A lot of places call themselves "links style" just because they're light on trees or grow the grass out, but Wyncote plays darn close to a UK links when it's nice and dry. Bunkers are firm with light/wispy sand just like on a true links. Course is generally firm and fast, with plenty of opportunities to run the ball up. It's challenging, but fair even if (slash when) the wind kicks up.

Maintenance is top notch, greens were near perfect. Tees show a lot of play, but still very good. Fairways in great shape and rough was healthy but not too punishing (heather aside).

Well worth the drive and price of admission. No amazing holes out there, just 18 really good ones.

First time playing since 2009 and was as nice a course as I remember. Conditions were great and pace was pretty good for a Friday late am tee time. However, it was the little things that surprised me for a course of this price point and quality. No water jugs, but they did have coolers with water bottles for a $1 on certain holes, which is a novel concept. Also, no ball washers on the course, so only able to wash my ball when I found a sprinkler head with some water still in it. Other than that, the course was excellent had a great round and hope to return in the near future.

Great course conditions. Pristine fairways and greens. Challenging but playable holes. I personally didn’t get a big links feel but doesn’t take anything away from the course.

From tee to green Was great conditions. The greens ran fast and true. Play from the right t box and you will enjoy the course. I Would put this in the top five courses played.

Great staff, course and amenities. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to Wyncote. Beautiful links style course and layout offers all you can handle. One curiosity - no rakes in bunkers.

Very nice course.

Check in was easy and fantastic. We were off fast and a touch before our tee time on a Wednesday.

The course was in terrific condition from tee to green.

The greens were some of the best I have played recently as they were fast and true. Fun. And it mattered where you were in relation to home because if front hole placement on a back hole basically impossible to make a back hole placement.

To score well, you will first of all need to hit fairways and second of all be able to play the wind as there was no trees and wind affected every hole.

Completely Epic and Fun!

It was a hour a way from where we were staying and yet I would tell you it was absolutely worth playing. Play this course!

This course continually exceeds my expectations. The conditions, the slick speed of the greens and the challenging layout are all superb.
