About
Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford is one of the most challenging courses in the area. The heathlands layout feels like a links course with wind being an important factor and thick fescue coming into play. The golf course starts with an especially tough front nine but there are more scoring opportunities on the back. Mounded bunkers and moguls define the movement of the fairways and though there aren't many trees, if you don't keep your shots straight you might find yourself out-of-bounds or lost in the high, wiry grass. Sidehill lies await you as well as a few blind shots. Wyncote's greens have little undulation but the lightning fast putting surfaces are a challenge for players of all skill levels. With a few "grip it and rip it" holes mixed in, Wyncote Golf Club is a tough but fair test.

Great time!
I had a great time and really enjoyed the course. Conditions were prime, greens rolled true, and pace of play was awesome! Rich, in the pro shop was very friendly and helpful which made my experience even better. Will be back soon!
Beautiful day on the links
Course was in very good condition, played hard and fast, greens ran true and with good pace, pace of play leaves a lot to be desired though and no one patrols the course to keep things moving, all in all a good day on the course
Great course
A really good course, fun and fair. Tough course with a lot of trouble and it is always windy at this course but still a challenging yet enjoyable afternoon.
Little over-priced but solid
Fast and firm tee to fringe. Greens are solid not great. Good course, but not worth $90. Wear sunscreen. No shade whatsoever. Worth a try though
So so at best
Not worth the money. Too expensive for the overall course value. No beverage Cart person so we were extremely thirsty ALL day. This course would be worth it at $50 a round.
Local boy
All good but they need a Marshall. Were behind some “golfers” who were two entire holes out of position who were also thrashing around in the protected areas.

Nice course. Nice people. Driving range is garbage though. Very pleasant place to play overall.
Great shape for April
Course was in great shape for early season and very playable with the tall fescue between fairways cut down. Greens rolled well. No ball washers or bunker rakes out yet which should be added as we are past freezing weather.
Always a fun track with links layout and holes that don’t all call for driver off the tee.

Top Level Public Course
This course has everything you are looking for in a top end public course. Well maintained and interesting layout, with nice practice facilitates, a full pro shop and nice restaurant. The staff was helpful and welcoming, especially in the restaurant, where we had lunch after our round. Two recommendations…. Bring a few extra golf balls, and an extra layer if it’s cold. There are plenty of spots to lose a ball if you aren’t in control, and with the wind whipping it’s colder there than expected.
Favorite course
Always a good day at Wyncote Golf Club. Beautiful course and conditions, engaging course layout, gorgeous views… what more could you ask for? I love warming up on their grass range and chipping area with practice bunker.
