English Turn Golf & Country Club

This was my first time playing at English Turn and was very pleased. The course staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. Fairways were in great shape. The greens were in decent shape, but spotty in places. Overall a fantastic outing.

Greens need some work. I played here in April and course was in very good shape. Today there were at least 6 greens with some bad spots. Some of the greens had crab grass advancing on edges. Overall a very good course and very challenging. Fairways were great. A few tee boxes a little scruffy.

To be honest, English Turn is one of my favorite courses but i have seen it in better condition. The greens had been treated and had many dead spots. For May 28th, I was expecting better.

Cool concept. Generally unfriendly staff outside of the golf pro and the starter. Green were unplayable for the price. Fun difficult layout.

Overall, it was a good course for the price probably would not play again for the distance from my house

Course is very well maintained. Has water along nearly every hole. Nice greens. Challenging but fun course

Great course I usually play there 5-6 times a year

But the greens were punched and sanded and not rolled so putting was not possible, little mounds

From the time we met the assistant pro, it was a most enjoyable day. James the starter was extremely pleasant and helpful. The greens ware fast but rolled true. I look forward to returning in the near future.

The course is great, and all there were friendly and helpful.

James, the Starter, was excellent. Gave us all of the info and tips, and then got us to take a picture of our group since we had not played there before.

We would definitely go back there for more golf!

This was my first time out here, and I was impressed. Got the round half off through a hotdeal on Golfnow. Check in was easy, and one of the staff members gave me a quick tour of the facilities. Course was in good shape, greens were pretty quick. You can tell they are trying to get the course in perfect shape. I'd give it a 4.5 on the rating.

The pace of play and the layout of the course were great. The greens are not quite what I would have expected a top level course to be, but that may have been due to being early in the season.

Course was priced adequately in comparison to other courses in the area based on what you get. Each hole is different, making the course memorable and fun for every tee shot and approach. Greens are designed in an extremely challenging way (very long and narrow) on some holes which is unique to any course in the New Orleans area. Jack Nicklaus did a very good job with the design and I would definitely play again.

Our ranger and greater was jamest. He was amazing and insisted my father and I get a picture together as it was our first time there .

The course was dry but was overall impressed with the challenging but fair design of the course.

The clubhouse and amenities are in need of some updating and were probably thriving in the 90's.

Our rental clubs were brand new TaylorMade and it was nice to have a choice of multiple brands.

Considering our round deal price was $70 I think it was an EXCELLENT value and we had a great time. I've played the city course and was not impressed, I think this is the perfect place for golfers visiting new Orleans who want to play the best course possible without paying the outrageous price of TPC LOUISIANA.

Would definitely play again
