Golfer Reviews
Pricey for the conditions
I caught a GolfNow deal for $53 to play Eagles Point. It’s been a long time since I’ve played there. Now I remember why I stopped going. The greens were in rough shape, the tee boxes were suspect, course was wet (doesn’t drain well). Pretty disappointed with the courses based on the price I paid.
Well worth the price.
Course was in great shape. Rough was a little gnarly which made finding balls sometimes difficult. Greens were fine for this time of year. Only complaint was the lack of yardage markers. I don’t use a Rangefinder due to how little I play so it made figuring out distances difficult. Would definitely go back though.
Davis Love would not be pleased
Course has been allowed to degrade. Supposedly new owner will bring it back, but it eve a long haul. Good luck to them
Enjoy out day
Course had what it looked like winter rye coming up and it made the greens faster on one and slow on others. Overall we had an enjoyable afternoon and would play there again
Would play again
I really like the course. for the most part the course is in good shape. I definitely will play this course again.
Fun
The only down side was the rough was ROUGH. If you stayed in fairway it was good, but the rough was tough for me.We had a good day despite that. Would play again
Eagle's point
Course is recovering with new management, but is playing well for the value.
Good Value
Good conditions. One of the best value courses that I have found near Hilton Head. No complaints!
Ok for emergency 18…
Played with nephew and son. Ok course to just get out for quick 18. Not many hazards, not very long long but the greens rolled ok. They overseeded the tees but the fairways were full of divots. Play preferred lies…Rough was pretty thick and hard to find balls; ran over a few just looking for drives
Not a bad little track....
Played with my son and nephew. Somewhat easy layout but good pace of play. Overgrown in areas (overseeding on tees and some fairways); (take preferred lies). Greens were a little beat up but playable...
