Nice course
It was in good condition and was pretty fun, I’ll definitely be coming back.
Slow play
4.75 hours ( seemed slower). Conditions decent, greens fast / firm. No ranger, but didn’t matter, most likely just too many players on too few holes.
There are better experiences out there for just a few extra dollars. Drink cart gone at 3:00, bar open till 4:00 (I believe) back nine took an eternity.
Very Good Time
Course is in Good Shape. Only problem was the golf cart. No matter how you start out , hitting the gas, it would just jump big time. On gravel the tires would actually spin. Will return and play again!
The greens are fast but receptive
Overall all the course is in great shape. A few Tee boxes and bunkers need some reworking, but I would definitely play here again especially in the early morning.
Fun course
All the staff is extremely friendly
Course in great shape. Greens are very fast.
Slow play
I like the course but unfortunately it was very backed up I only played 9 of 18 I paid for. . They need a Marshall to speed up play .
Fred Enke
The course was in great shape.
Pace of play is another story. Group in front of us walked and slowed things up. we waited on every tee box and fairway for every hole. started backing groups behind us also. Never did see a marshal. not really a walking course because some of the distances between green to next tee box.
other that issue everything else was great.
Would play it again.
Younger kids stay home
The course is set up well, but the play was slow started at 130 had to skip a hole because 4 some in front had a 3 maybe 4 year old playing on the greens. I'm not against kids on course but he was to young and they had to chase him around . So I completed 17 holes just as sun going down .
Pleasant surprise
Overall positive first impression despite waiting on almost every hole. Course is in decent shape although showing effects of care-less golfers (divots. ball marks, traps, etc.). Front nine is flat and fairly mundane, but the back nine features elevation changes, imaginative layout, and a concrete cart path that elevates it above Muni status. For first-timers, course map on scorecard is helpful, but better signage is needed - especially on front nine where cart path often meanders through the desert. Staff was friendly and courteous - especially gal driving the beverage cart. This is what excellent customer service looks like!
Very enjoyable round...
Played with my wife and another couple. Pace of play was very comfortable. Had to wait a few times, but that is to be expected. Greens were very firm, fast and true, but a well struck shot held as it should.
Fairways were nice, first cut was dry, but played well.
Will play again!!
The course was in good condition
First time playing at Enke in a couple of years. Overall the course was in good condition however on this day pin placement was an issue. It just never seemed to be in a flat part of the green. Tee boxes are not flat and the rough is cut too thin so nothing holds. Pace of play was pretty good 4 hours and 15 minutes.
Interesting course
No houses on the course, interesting layout, but make sure you play the right tees. I played a set too far forward and quite a few times drove right through the fairway into lost ball territory.
Sad....
Such a beautiful course setting, interesting to play, but the golfing public leave evidence of their complete disregard for, or ignorance of, golfing etiquette.
Not sanding a divot in the fairway, not repairing a ballmark on the green, or not raking a trap, are all evidence of their lack of regard for the course, as well as the golfer that comes behind them. Yet nowhere did I see signage reminding people of these basics
of golf protocol. IT IS VERY MUCH NEEDED!
Don't blame covid and a staffing shortage...I'm talking about things the golfer can do to make this a 5 star public course.
