People make the difference!
They have an amazing Staff.
Mike the Starter, Katrina in the Cafe.
All do a great job!
Pace
We had a 1:17 Tee time and didn’t tee off til after 2 due to a High School tournament being played! Took nearly 3 hours to play 9 holes so we left after finishing 9 holes. Jake in the clubhouse, as well as all the ladies in the restaurant were very friendly an apologetic….
It is what it is
Layout is pretty good, greens were slow and bumpy but very healthy and just need more love. It is a muni and you keep your expectations at a muni level, all will be good.
Decent golf, city style
Greener than usual, greens a bit bumpy but reasonably speedy. Bunkers compacted but have sand. We played on a windy day, pace was slow, only due to one group (who we followed), no ranger present. Drink cart available and water fountains provide hot product regularly spaced. Decent layout made challenging by those winds.
Still not done with course improvements: restaurant area, and bathrooms, taking FOREVER!
Overall a fun experience, just a bit rough around the edges.
Good value for a good course.
I enjoyed my round of golf. Good value for a good course..
Greens & aprons were in "fair" condition
Fairways were TERRIBLE, weeds & DIRT overpowered any signs of grass. This course needs a lot of work. Staff was very friendly. Bathrooms were not working? . This is just TOTALLY unacceptable. Even the portable toilets were not clean.
Poor conditions
This is not a course that I do not want to come back, I played many
Municipal golf courses in Tucson and this one is at the bottom of my list . Even at $20.00 for a round it is a disappointment
Great value
Par 4s are Long
Greens are true
For the price I would play again
Decent layout but needs some work.
The course is very scoreable but the maintenance of the course needs some attention. Was very patchy and didn’t look like it had any water is a while. If your looking at getting out for a day just to have some fun and play golf and you’re a beginner I would recommend if for you just for the price, but if your an average or better golfer I would put your money elsewhere.
Excellent course for a beginner.
This is my first time playing, other than the driving range. very nice course for beginners. Mostly light rolling hills with slight elevation changes. Fairways are on the narrow side. Course greens are well taken care of. This course provided an excellent first time out!
Excellent Muni
Silverbell is one of 5 muni courses in Tucson. The course is wide open, very playable and in good shape. Fairways were decent but greens were very slow. Not cut in a while. Course offers challenges for all level golfers. I enjoy Silverbell.
Enjoy the layout of course
I am from out of town and plan on playing here again.
Pick up the Pace
When you have to wait on every tee box it takes some of the pleasure out of the game. The pace of walking for golf is a brisk pace to and from your cart. Putts should be lined up while you are waiting so you are ready to putt when it is your turn. Putt continuously until you hole out. Soft spikes don't hinder someone else's line. In the fairway be ready to hit when it's your shot. If a round of golf can be played in three hours or less with all members of the foursome walking in New Zealand golf ing, it should not take four and a half hours here using golf carts. Also, if you've taken twice the par number of shots, pick up your ball, get out of the way and move on.. What ever happened to calling the group behind to play their tee shots once all players are on the green on par three holes? Golf should be exercise as well as a game of skill. Enough said. Thank you.
Course in transition
The course was in trAnsition from winter rye to Bermuda. As expected there’ were bare spots and brown grass.
