Silverbell Municipal Golf Course

Silverbell is one of 5 muni courses in Tucson. The course is wide open, very playable and in good shape. Fairways were decent but greens were very slow. Not cut in a while. Course offers challenges for all level golfers. I enjoy Silverbell.

I am from out of town and plan on playing here again.

When you have to wait on every tee box it takes some of the pleasure out of the game. The pace of walking for golf is a brisk pace to and from your cart. Putts should be lined up while you are waiting so you are ready to putt when it is your turn. Putt continuously until you hole out. Soft spikes don't hinder someone else's line. In the fairway be ready to hit when it's your shot. If a round of golf can be played in three hours or less with all members of the foursome walking in New Zealand golf ing, it should not take four and a half hours here using golf carts. Also, if you've taken twice the par number of shots, pick up your ball, get out of the way and move on.. What ever happened to calling the group behind to play their tee shots once all players are on the green on par three holes? Golf should be exercise as well as a game of skill. Enough said. The course was in trAnsition from winter rye to Bermuda. As expected there’ were bare spots and brown grass.

It is definitely worth the money. There are dry spots everywhere but the greens and the tee boxes are in good shape. The staff was awesome. The starter was very professional and helped us as best he could. We were going to be late so I phoned and the lady I talked to was very nice and told us she would get us in when we got there. We have played this course multiple times and we’ll definitely go back. If you are looking for a pristine good course for $40 don’t go there. I would recommend going as you will have a great time.

3h50m round. Course wide open and in decent shape, though greens a little long and a bit slow. Traps very hard. Staff very friendly, but starter directed us toward driving range that had just closed for the day.

Slow greens , poor signage to next tee box . Bad odors at many holes

The course is in decent shape , if hit in sandtrap might want to take drop or hit off cement no rake needed ..

have played Silverbell plenty of times, so I know what I am getting. Like the layout; however, the one area that needs improvement are the bunkers. There is no sand in the bunkers; it is hardpan. Other than the bunkers, enjoyed the course.

This was the first time my wife and I played Silverbell. The overseed that was done was better than most. If only I could consistently land it on the generous fairways. The greens could have been cut a little closer, but were all in great shape as were the tee boxes. Glad we played on a nice spring day as the amount of shade on the course is rather limited. All in all a pleasant round of golf.

This is a more challenging course than it looks well kept and a value for the money. The greens were a little firm but other than that it was pretty well kept. Not fancy but it was a good time.

Some standing water from overnight watering , some traps were very wet. Fairways in excellent condition, greens ok.

Course was in great condition.

Tee boxes, fairway and greens were all good shape.

I think it's just me, course didn't excite much.

I think the other 4 city courses are better. I'll try it again though.

I enjoyed playing here, and would again in the future

I had booked for 18 holes & asked if I could just play nine. They said it was already paid for through 3rd party. Do hoping I can get a credit via TeeOff?
