Avila Beach Golf Resort

We play this course often because we live here and it’s convenient but it’s over priced. The greens are under watered and there are no water dispensers and few ball cleaning stations on the course. Fortunately there are restrooms along the entire course (1 per each of the three 9-hole courses). The clubhouse has a pro shop with a decent amount of merchandise. The restaurant is very basic but does have daily specials and alcohol. It’s just not inviting of a place that makes you want to stay after a round. Unless they are having live music on the greens during the weekend. There is no starter and the course backs up often. It’s obvious and easy for players to sneak on the course which isn’t uncommon.

Great location and scenery. Greens are well maintained. The fairways are dry and some of the cart paths will beat you up, but overall a good round of golf.

All of the fairways are very rough with very sparse grass. It’s impossible to get a good lie in the fairway!!

Layout of course is very quirky. Finding tee boxes from hole to hole can be difficult as directions are sparse.

Greens and t boxes were great, but fairways were dead in some places and lumpy in others! Very bad conditions for a great track!

Course is in horrendous shape. Pace of play is terrible. Greens are terrible. It was a total joke!

Could be an amazing place if done the right way. Fairways are awful pace of play is awful and not very friendly when you show up. Just a lot of missed opportunities. I think everyone would agree.

Fairways dry becuase of time of year, do not get the practice balls very old and dirty, price was ok thur Golf now.

Fairways were bad. There are bad dusty detours to get to the next hole. At least the greens were ok. Overall the golf course needs a badly needed maintenance.

Ive played this course many times but i have never seen it in this bad of shape. Dirt fairways, filthy carts, terrible greens, I wouldn’t play this course again if it were free!

The course has been better days, fairways and greens are not in the beat of conditions. The staff are still great and very friendly.

Fairways are all dead,sand traps have rocks in them, squirrel holes everywhere in the Fairways I called in our food on the 8th hole 3 different times no answer go inside and asked how come they didn't take my order she said we are busy and there was not one person inside eating 3 people working the girl I talked to was setting there talking to a guy the whole time terrible service never again will I go back.

The Staff was awesome the Starter especially was friendly, he made an effort to put me on the course ahead of my tee time since I was playing alone. The only think that I didn't like was the driving range, hitting off mats with no really distance markers to give you an idea of how you were hitting your clubs distance wise, and the narrow view of area to hit, also no way to hit your driver before you start a round is weird.
