Avila Beach Golf Resort

I have been golfing here a few years. most of the cart paths are in terrible condition and worse so many are dirt roads. the fairways are the worst condition I've ever golfed on. the talk on the town for years has been the owners Just Let It Go which is just a shame. too expensive without the reward of a good course. definitely need a marshall. had a guy in front of me playing as a single hitting two balls, then at the turn went in to go use the restroom and two kids in their 20s jumped on 12 and slow dragged their way around the back nine.

The Course is in poor condition!! bridges washed out and not fixed. Course poorly groomed. Course bathrooms were in horrible condition. Owner needs to do a lot of work. range closed but in horrible condition.

Such bad shape. Used to play all the time, but now the track is by far in the worst shape it’s been in 25 years. Un cut tee box’s with gopher mounds, squirrel burrows in the fairway, bridges impassable, and overall poorly maintained. Owners should be embarrassed to let people play out there. Could be world class, but darn! Never pay full green fees here please! Morro Bay, Cypress, and even Monarch are way better options.

it was worth it for the price.

when I started playing golf forty years ago Avila was one of the premier courses on the Central Coast of California, not any longer.

the tee boxes and fairways are in bad shape

the greens are ok. but for $32.00 I will play again.

This course is horrible. The best feature is the cart. Tee box are none existent, the fairways are horrible, signage is terrible, and greens are terrible.

This course was fun and had great views. The dirt cart path had major dips and the fairways could use some weeding or new grass but I feel like we got our money's worth! I will definitely come back for another round or two

Avila was great. The weather was perfect. The workers are so friendly. And the course was in great condition.

This is a wonderful layout and beautiful course. The cart paths are in terrible shape and need attention as do several bridges that have been removed. The tee boxes are very difficult to locate. And more. Directional signs would help a lot! All in all, target golf, a challenging layout and spectacular views make this now one of my favorites….. please please please attend to much needed maintenance!

Been playing this course since 1980 on a regular basis 3-4 times a year.

Never seen it in worse condition!

3 bridges out wrapped with crime tape to avoid crashing!

The opening tee box had 300 broken tees at 10 in the morning!

If you love watching the behaviors of the California ground Squirrel you will love this course, there are 250,000 of them running amok!

The greens are in excellent condition but the fairways, tee boxes and the cart paths need some tender loving care. Need more directional signs.

I’m not really sure where to start. Maybe the only positives: friendly staff and fairly healthy looking greens.

Although the greens looked healthy, they might’ve been rolling at a 4. You could barely get the ball to the hole, even on downhill putts.

The fairways were mowed weeds. The only grass on the course were the tee boxes and greens.

No signs designating hole numbers or tee boxes. The layout and routing are awful, making the course virtually impossible to walk.

I’m not sure that the staff could do anything to improve this course. The course design is truly a disaster.

Pro shop employee was unhelpful, rude and unfriendly

Course is in terrible shape!

Lack of repairs and upkeep was evident everywhere you looked.

We had a fun first visit! Holes were challenging, although the placement of the next T Box was sometimes challenging to find. We actually missed a couple of holes because we went to the T box next to the green we were exiting. But had a good time, so no big deal. Had fun.
