About
This course used to be considered a hidden gem. Now, Oak Valley Golf Course in Beaumont is an off-the-beaten-path known reasonable joy. Stopping on the way from Los Angeles to Palm Springs for a golf detour is no fool's play. Not with the fast greens, dramatic elevation changes and swerving fairways available at Oak Valley in Beaumont.
A Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley design, Oak Valley is probably best known for greens that are anything but desert typical. Speed is the name of the game here, with a tap sometimes too much on a downhill putt.
Recognition does not travel that quickly. It took a decade for Oak Valley to get a four star rating from Golf Digest. Once it did, Beaumont suddenly became a golf stopping spot on the Palm Springs express. Now, you're considered a smart golfer if you linger on the way to Palm Springs.
"It's a nice getaway from the crowds in the desert, as well as some of the other, more populated golf areas," head pro Scott Arnold said. "It's almost like being in the country. No houses line the fairways. Each hole is different. And because of the way it's laid out, you often can't even see another hole from the one you're playing."

Golfer Reviews
On Safari in Beaumont
I really enjoyed the Tranquil Feeling of the Course once we were away from the Holes next to Interstate 10. The Greens were in Very good condition, and Fast!! Great layout of the holes. For a midweek round the pace of play was a little slow.
Course
I don’t know why all the negative reviews, yes fairways could use some water but it’s not the pga, my new favorite place to play, 3-4 holes are a real challenge, only negative was groups ahead were really slow but dealt with it, also Dodd and beverage place was closed
Beautiful course
Gorgeous views and course was in great condition except a few fairways did not have enough grass making it challenging to hit a wood.
Beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this course!
No restaurant open
Staff was very friendly and offered me a ride to my car which I appreciated..
A Nice Surprise
On friendly advice, took a chance on a lengthy commute out from Coachella Valley but happily well worth it! Lots of elevation changes (if you’re ok with that), a little rough here and there, nice layout and good greens, new lithium powered carts, nice staff and really good value. Only complaint was no restaurant/bar as shown on website. Once again thank you Golf Pass!
great course
This is one of my favorite courses always have a fun challenging round love the layout!!
The tee box greens are well maintained, but the fairways are a mess. The course layout is good.
Oak valley
Very windy adding to the challenge my chief complaint if any is just for other players to fix there divits . Overall condition of the green are nice fairways decent but anywhere OB and your probably taking a drop .
Used to be great
This used to be a destination golf course. They have maintained the greens but let the rest go. This course has a great, fun to play layout but they have let it all grow over. Running super thin staffing, no bar.
Pricey for conditions
There's no bev cart. the fairways are terrible at the moment have been for awhile. Pace was pretty good and the Tee boxes and greens are great.
80 bucks for a weekend round for the conditions is rough.
