Oak Valley Golf Club

I'm coming from Yucaipa (just a ten minute drive west of this course) and I must say THIS course is the best within 30 miles of my home. I recommend this course. Great track, beautiful scenery, great fairways, greens, and teeboxes. This has been my "home" course for almost two years now. It is worth the drive ladies and gentlemen. Course conditions were very good. I played Oak Valley 2-3 times a month (Prior to Covid19) and the course was in better shape that most times I played here. Fairways tend to get a little thin during the summer heat , but were in very nice condition - probably due to the amount of rain and lack of play over the last month or two. (Staff also did a god job.) Balls rolled nicely on the greens. It's little weird watching putts hit the stick and bounce a way a few inches due to the modified cup/stick. Nothing like reaching into the hole to retrieve your ball after sinking a 12ft birdie as opposed to picking up your birdie a few inches from the hole. Pace of play was good.

Course was in excellent condition and they even had a cart lady (which we have never seen before) What a wonderful Mother's Day Round of Golf !!!

Its simple. Wide fairways for tee shots but quickly narrow for some challenging approach shots. Sand everywhere with very hilly terrain not to mention nothing but trouble when you miss a fairway can make for a long day.

None the less its a lot of fun to play

Its a lovely layout, seldom see other golfers, fast pace, faster greens. Fairways are a bit scruffy but so are the ones at St Andrews. Just a lovely place to play golf. Check the weather forecast before booking though, its cooler and windier in Beaumont. Great value, will definitely play there again.

greens nice fairways not watered so not much grass,,nice layout, nice trees surround most fairways,,would be a great course if fairways were watered,,,

Been years now without over seed so fairways are dormant Bermuda grass with a mixture of grasses the wind and birds have passed on over the years...thus fairway lies are not the best....just turning into another public course struggling to get by....still the great course set up and greens are still very nice. Just wish it was in the shape it used to be but I guess no one is going to pay anymore to play there.

excellent greens although very fast .fairways a little shoddy Sand traps have some sand in them at last

I was a little upset that the marshal allowed a group (4) to each play 3 balls. I reported them and nothing was done. This should have been a 3.5 hour round but ended up being almost 6.

greens and tee boxes are in great shape. Fairways leave a lot to be desired. Nice layout excellent value but they need to spray weeds and seed the fairways

Pros:. Great layout, ambience, scenery, little shorter course with a lot of variety. Greens were in very good condition and rolled true. Pace of play was excellent, got done in 4 hours despite the Starter telling me they were busy this late morning.

Cons: Lot of tee boxes were in bad shape. Some you felt like you were hitting out of a sand trap. Fairways were dormant. Hopefully they will green up in the spring. Glad I got the hot deal for $50, $69 morning green fee is too much given overall condition IMHO. Other tracks in better shape for same or less.

Fun course we will be returning to play again soon it is one of my favorite courses in the area love the course layout....

This course is high on my list. I usually hit extra shots working on aspects of my game. Other courses pair singles up even if no one is one the course. Drives me crazy, so I usually shy away from those courses.

The pace of play was great, I will let players play through, at the same time I'm not pushing the group in front of me.

I understand things are different when it's busy, and this staff here is excellent in how they handle their groups of players.
