Chula Vista Golf Course

I have been playing this course for years and the staff has always been very helpful, friendly and accommodating for the customer's needs. Driving range could use some work but due to space limitations, it is understandable. It is a difficult course with water on the right for the first 6 holes, so slicers beware!

Fun course. Five par fives, but some challenging par fours

Pace of play wasn't that great, but I think it's because of all the work is going on in the far ways, the cart whit the drinks was no were to be found b in 18 holes we see them 1 time, but I believe i have fun playing there, I will play there went it gets fixed,

Terrible golf day. Brought my "D" game to the course. Left my best shots on the driving range. Lost five balls. Most to the lagoons.

The Good: Great staff at the pro shop, price, course was in very good condition.

The Bad: No ranger so it took over 2.5 hours to play the front 9 and no beverage cart.

Good value, a bit slow but overall a good challamge, repairs on 16 still not finished

I was pretty happy with the course it self went out as a three some and they added a single to our group. Guy said he played there often which was very helpful. He kept us out of trouble. The fairways looked good greens were in great condition I had a great time. The only complaint I had was slow play. Since it is one of the cheapest places to golf in the area there were toms of groups also a few holes got congested. It took almost 6 hrs to play I could of played 36 in that amount of time.

Good value for money incl. cart. Greens are okay, but fairways need some attention. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back!

Chula Veesta Muni is a value course - for the money, it is an okay place to play. The course is completely flat, most fairways are burnt and hardpan, most traps were packed dirt, some with standing water. The greens were growing out long causing balls to bounce and turned unexpectedly. However, with all this negativity, I would still go back to exercise all my clubs and play cheap.

Chula Vista golf course is a good course to play that's inexpensive to play. Staff is super friendly and they handle a large crowd due to the cost of play. If I return to the area I will play here again.

Great deal, very chalanging and very long course...

For the money I paid, I would play it on a weekly basis. The greens were in phenomenal shape, the fairways were a little dry and hard but manageable. The only down side to the course was pace of play. Recommended to play early in the morning because as he day goes on, the slower it gets. But will get out there again.

Booked a last minute tee time to play this course - only booking available online was with a cart - but when I arrived was given the choice to walk or ride. Chose the walking option since this is an easy course for walking golfers. Good 4 hour walk and great day weatherwise to accomodate my choice to play here. Would definitely play this course again when the opporunity to walk presents itself, especially since the course is farily flat with very little "elevation" changes. Work being accomplished to replace turf in some fairways, however there are others that need some work to do still. Traps need to have the sand replaced - was like hitting out of "aggregate materials".

Not the first time playing this course but always is a challenge.
GC starts with some narrow and long fairway that might get you frustrated, however, the next holes are more forgiving. It's crucial to hit 'em straight here. Pace was a bit slow but I played on a holiday which will not be fair to rate since it was packed.

I really really liked this course! Under 40$ On a weekend morning! and a fun course to play! I'm a bogey golfer pretty consistently and this course is perfect for me! The absolutely highlight of this course is, by far, the condition of the greens! They're amazing! Will come back soon! And you should too!

Played this course on Friday, May 23, and I quite enjoyed it! We are a threesome and was paired w/ a one gentleman who walked-in. The pace of play was surprisingly fast maybe because we teed off early in the morning at 7AM. Fairways condition improved a lot since the last time I played here a couple months ago. Fairway on six is currently undergoing some work at a distance between 220 to 260 so if your drive is this distance, prepare to see your ball nestled in a soft ground under repair. Tee boxes need some mowing as the grass are over an inch thick. The greens and the areas around them are in good shape. Green side bunkers are heavy due to they've just probably watered them before we teed off, much better than GS bunkers of the course we played last week not that far away from here. The course ambassador showed up offering some water and I thought that was good. The only negative about this course was the free hot dog and chips, they were not ready yet after we finished front. This course if they keep what they're doing will be in a much better shape in the next month or two. I will definitely be playing this again!

This course was a good experience for me. In the middle of an historic drought the fairways were as good as can be expected. The greens were in great shape and the bunkers ( of which I found 5 ) had plenty of sand. You can see that they are working on improving the course. The odd thing was there were no coolers of water on the course but they had an ambassador driving around with one. The staff was friendly but they need more signage, I almost got lost looking for the 14th tee. Overall it was a nice typical Muni Course

We golf there fairly often. As always we had a great time. The staff is always friendly and the greens were in great shape. My only complaints are 1.) the food/beverage cart never came by and 2.) we play chula vista to save money but $35 for a twelve pack means we have to drink before or after but never at the course. You can't make a profit on beer if no one can afford to buy it. We take advantage of the free water guy.
