About
Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

I drive up from La Mesa and always enjoy playing here. My daughter often joins me as a rider and it gives us time to connect and keep in touch.
Love playing this course being an "average" golfer. Holes are just tough enough so that I enjoy my round. Scenery is always great! Staff is always helpful and pleasant.

This course was fun and challenging
I am New to golf and have played a few courses before this course. This course was more narrow then other courses I have played but over all it was a fun and new experience some of the holes were very beautiful and calming. I would 100% play this course again and would recommend it. Some of the fairways needs some TLC and the sand bunkers are a bit hard. Great course and had a fun time!

Great value
Eagle Crest has always had a great layout. It's also had ownership and maintenance challenges. Right now, March 2021, greens are in very good shape, fairways good, tee boxes just ok. But it's completely playable, the staff is great, and I enjoyed my $22 round more than the $169 round I played at Maderas a few weeks ago. So come get a great value and enjoy a very nice round of golf.

Not too shabby!
Fairways were ok...some issues as it rained the day before but being worked on. Greens were in great shape. I met some people there that I will play with again...staff was nice

Great Greens, spotty fairways, fun course
My title kinda says it all. The Greens were in fabulous condition. Lots of undulations and pretty darn fast and true. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially considering we are still in the middle of the California CoVid Lockdown. The Tee Boxes were well maintained, however the Fairways, especially near the Tee Boxes were in pretty bad shape. As the Fairways got closer to the Greens they were in much better shape, almost like the lack of care close to the Tee Boxes was purposeful. I guess it could have been, but the lack of Fairway Grass definitely detracts from the overall beauty of the course. It didn’t effect play very much. The water hazards are some of the most beautiful and well maintained I’ve ever seen. The course is very tight with lots of thick vegetation on both sides. The 6400 yard Tips are a way more difficult round than the length alone would indicate. Be prepared to lose some balls if you aren’t fairly straight (or at least accurate) off the Tee. We had a blast, and will definitely make the trip to play the course again.

Is this a joke??
Never seen anything like it. Ruined fairways, un-cut and bare tee boxes, leaves and sticks everywhere. I could go on for 10 pages about how mismanaged this course is. Picture finding an abandoned golf course during the apocalypse with a great layout, and this is what you are signing up for. The fringe is so bad around the outer edge of the greens and the fairways, that if your ball goes in it, it is un-findable. I guess they forgot to mow it for a few months??? Thousands of gopher holes throughout the course for your ball to get stuck in. Get it together or shut down the course guys. You have no pride and should be ashamed. I am not a picky guy as I play Mission Trails and enjoy it just fine, but I will never come back and will not let anyone I know come here.

Good layout and value for the cost. Fairways are spotty with unmoved grass and dirt spots - played most with pick and clean

Not bad
Nothing unusually bad or good, teeboxes were alright, fairways werent too bad. Greens were a bit bumpy but they look recently punched, not im bad shape otherwise. Pace was good, about 4 hours. Not a bad 20-30$ course.

It's coming around
Eagle Crest has always been one of my favorite layouts in San Diego. Its been in really rough shape most of 2020, but it's coming around to be in better shape.
Fairways are decent. Some dead spots here and there, but overall very playable. The rough can be tough on some holes, so keep it straight.
Greens are in really good condition.
Overall a good deal and enjoyed it. Keep getting this course in shape and it will be back on the regular circuit for us

I’ve played probably 500 different courses in my 40 years of playing the game I love. That place needs to get blown up because it was the worst course I’ve ever played. Take a little pride in your course, mow the fairways and greens, dirt is not a fairway. 25 percent of the would be fairways were dirt. A little overseed in November goes along way!!! Yours course sucks and I will never waste my money again
