Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

I’m not a picky golfer but the tee boxes were half dirt and uneven, fairways were in rough shape and the overall maintenance seemed to be badly lacking

I love this course. The layout is awesome. Very challenging and long course. Only issue is the fairways are in desperate need of help. For the most part it’s playable but too many dirt spots makes it a 4 star. A little seed and water maintenance would help. Saw a few sprinklers on at the tee boxes mid afternoon and one wasn’t watering anything on the course????

She’ll of its former self

This once nice beautiful course is no more. Tees, fairways and greens are all bad. There is no sand in the bunkers. Overgrowth everywhere. I never see anybody working on the course. I’ve never seen it being watered. What’s going on here?

And yes I know about Covid.

I have always liked playing Eagle Crest it’s a challenging course. I have always thought of Eagle Crest as the type of course to want to bring your best game and scoring well is an accomplishment. I felt like that outside of fairway you will be hitting off dirt and the bunker are rock hard. The greens had been punched within the last 2/3 weeks, but there are several spots on several greens that have not been maintained well.
