Dos Osos Golf Club

About
Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Run down
I used to love this course. I’m not sure what is up with course management and maintenance but it seems non existent in a few places. This included. Grass is terrible. The fairways are flooded in areas. Completely overgrown. Sand traps have become dandelion gardens. The greens are scorched with dry patches.
terrible
a little mowing would go a long way ill never play this coarse again hard to tell where the first cut was if you were off the unkept fairway just a foot or two , then good luck finding your ball, absolute terrible grounds
Horrible conditions
I’ve played this course for years. It’s gone so far downhill it’s sad. The rough is so overgrown you lose a ball hitting just off the fairway. The fairways are patchy muddy and hard as rock. The sand traps are like hitting off cement. The greens are in decent shape and are the best part of the course.
Don’t bother
I’ve been playing golf for 20 years around the world and can definitively say this is the worst condition golf course I’ve ever played. Bunkers are dry mud beds with weeds, if you go off the fairway into “1st cut of jungle” ball is gone. Tee boxes horrible, greens were the only
Decent part of the course but you need 2 balls to reach each one. Don’t waste your money
It would be nice if you guys mowed the rough.. I know you are short staffed, but any ball just off the fairway is pretty much lost.
Washed
Two holes were closed. Course took a beating from the rain. Rough at your ankles in places, all weeds, unplayable. . Greens adequate. Bunkers are just a hole in the ground with weeds. Needs a lot of attention to come back to life.
Rough, but understandable
The course is in very rough shape due to the recent weather conditions, Two holes were closed, all traps and bunkers in unplayable condition, mud and running water on several pathways and tunnels.
Much clean up required before i will play there again.
Poor Condition - Everything
Course has good layout, probably was a good course at one point in time. Now just completly run down. Course built probably when housing development was built.but then let go. Clubhouse was run down. Landscaping was over grown.. Looked like black mold in bathrooms. I'm sure covid hit this course hard along with this rough winter. But someone needs to heavily invest in this course to make it playable again.
Under water
When i reserved online there were nothing mentioned about half of the course under water. Played front course twice. some of the fairways were covered with water. bad drainage system. Staff was nice. Pro shop needs more attention.
