Dos Osos Golf Club

About
Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Needs a lot of work
The course has a great layout but it is not maintained at all the fairways were terrible no real fairway grass for the most part, just weeds and bare dirt spots. It is very easy to lose your ball even on the fairway. I have low standards for having fun at course but until they do maintenance at this place is not worth it for the price, Maybe if it was in the $10-20 range. Everything was bad besides the greens. Sand traps had overgrown weeds in them, water hazards were gross stagnant water, and the fairways/first cut were not even grass (just weeds and bare dirt). FAIR WARNING
Course getting better, and score too
They are cleaning up some of the sand traps, and most greens are still good. One green had fungus spots.
Several players we allowed to “ play through”, but please be respectful of golfers in front of you. Pulling up while we are teeing off is wrong, talking as some is teeing off or putting should not happen on the golf course.
Everything is under repair.
Greens were in good condition. Bunkers and fairways are under repair.
Sand traps are full of weeds
The course has a nice layout, but rains have added non playable obstacles and muddy conditions.
Sand traps have not been work on in months, weeds are 1 1/2 foot tall!!
If we are paying to play, the course should be maintained. Starting to look like Castle Creek course…
Worst course ever … unplayable want a refund!
I have never seen a course in such disrepair in my life. . This course is literally unplayable! Paid for 18 holes and wanted to quit after the first two holes . This is a horrible flooded, overgrown jungle course with horrible fairways. The sand traps have no sand. They are just overgrown mud and weeds flooded sections, unplayable sections. This course is a complete and utter disgrace to have on GolfNow. The fact that it said three stars and I picked it thinking it would be a decent course to play ruined our vacation. Shame on everyone involved with seeing this course has three stars, and even having it as an option on GolfNow! I so wish I could’ve taken pictures, but my phone was dead. I will be requesting a refund from my credit card company as this was not a playable course and they should not be charging anyone.
Somehow getting worse
Man! This has become an absolute joke.
What a waste of a once was a cook course with beautiful views. Nature is taking it back over!
Worst golf course I have ever played
Conditions are terrible, 80% of the bunkers are unplayable or GUR. Most of the greens are overgrown with fungus leaving huge craters making putting almost impossible. It sucks because I love the challenging layout and location of the course. Just not worth playing when there are so many other options in the area.
😎
Can’t beat it for the $ it requires all of your game :)
Needs repair and Marshalls
Course have quite a bit of damage from the heavy rains recently. Greens need some upkeep. Bunkers are 50% ground under repair.
Marshalls needs to monitor groups skipping in front.
Shouldn’t take much to bring back to its original glory.
Nice Staff, Course Needs TLC
I have played Eagle Crest several times. Great location with views of boulder filled mountain valley surrounding it. However, course has needed TLC for years. Tree lined airways are not up to par. Greens are a bit better due to all the rain SD county received this year. Staff here is excellent. If fairways are improved in the future Eagle Crest will move up in our rotation.
Probably the worst course in San Diego
This place is a absolute dump first hole is flooded beyond belief what use to be sand traps around the golf course are weeds 3 feet high if your even remotely off the fairway you have almost a 0 percent chance of finding your ball deeply dissatisfied with that course much better courses in San Diego for the same price.
Terrible Condition
Terrible fairways, overgrown rough, casual water on front nine throughout, bunkers were unplayable with weeds growing in it. The only half way decent part were the greens.
