Indian Springs Golf Club

Arrived for our tee time and golf cart staff were unfriendly. Starter Shouted out my name and the first thing he said was, “Your tee time was cancelled!” Very rude n said it was not his problem, but that I could rebook w the course for the same time at their much higher rate! Spoke w assistant manager Dan who said it wasn’t their problem and I could call golf now to complain. I asked to speak w manager n Dan never returned with her. No one at course was at all friendly and quite honestly they were rude and smug. Seemed like they think less of people who use golf now. Golf now stated the course chose to cancel. I will not play the course again as their people skills were terrible.

Enjoyed playing a special round of golf at Indian Springs with my 2 sons. The course and weather conditions made for an excellent golfing experience.

I play Big Rock at Indian Springs every chance I get. Although the holes are not extremely difficult, the greens are challenging but in great shape.

Looking forward to the next round there.

Great course. Fairways above average and greens and chipping areas were great. Also the tee boxes were awesome. Love this place. Good is great too

This was our fourth time playing here and it never dulls! Great course with wonderful entertainment in a great setting afterwards. Highly recommend a fun day!

Greens are good. Course was surprisingly good. Wide open but good for all levels Fun course. Has a few feature holes and not tight with houses.

Indian Springs was one of the fastest rounds I have played. It had rained the night before and that scared off many of the regulars. They told me it was cart path only of which I respected but there was really no standing water anywhere. When I started at 12:00, I was told there were only 12 people on the course. Finished 18 in 2 hours.

The course is not overly challenging except that most holes a surrounded by homes. Fairways are wide enough and the greens were in pretty good shape. I played from the white tees (12 handicap) but should have played from the blues.

The clubhouse bar and restaurant were great. Decorated with rock n roll memorabilia much like Hard Rock Cafe. Food and beer were great with all many dietary options. They have live music after 6 a few nights per week.

I’ve played Indian Springs many times and have enjoyed every round. I look forward to the next opportunity.

Had a slow group ahead, no Marshall’s to keep the pace. Good layout, fairways and greens in good shape. Course layout was good, ample width between the housing. Overall pretty good

Fairways and greens are in good condition; “rough” is grass less dirt. Friendly layout. Value priced.

Big Rock Golf Course Indio Review 2/28/2020

Very nice practice greens for putting and chipping. I am a 72-year-old Veteran with 10 joint surgeries, 2 left knee, 3 right knee, each shoulder. We got to Hole #4 and a golf marshal said we weren’t playing fast enough and could we speed it up. When we got to Hole #8 a golf marshall came up from the other direction saying we needed to speed it up, I was sitting out that hole so the rest of the foursome could play a little faster. I told him I was sitting out a hole so they could play faster and if they did not want customers over 55 years old or could not play with a score less than 85-90 they should put up a sign and I would not have paid the $90 each for me and my buddy. Additionally, there were rude yuppies in the foursome behind us putting balls on the green as we were walking off, we were still on the green or fringe not in the cart, 3 different times. I would only come here again to practice putting & chipping, the rest of the course I would just plain consider in hostile to senior citizens who can play below 90 strokes on a round.

The course management was poor and there were holes that we waited for 20+ mins before we can tee off. No Marshalls chasing up, and the wait was from hole #1. We need to cross the roads a lot of times (and even the traffic lights) in many holes, as the course layout is In four different sections of the crossroads. Strongly recommend not to tee off after 1pm, although I tee off at 1:30 and barely got done, the last two holes I could only guess where the pin is.

I travel about 70 miles to play Big Rock golf At Indian Springs.

Always in prime condition. Good times at the bar/restaurant.

Plenty of room off the tee with options. Pay attention to the location of water hazards. The greens were in excellent shape, hard and fast. Not a long par 4 on the route, but 2 longish par 3s to start. The bunkers played fair and there was no rough to speak of. Holes 10 thru 12 lacked the character of the other 15. My favorite 3 hole stretch was 13 - 15. The practice area wasn't easy to locate, but the staff is friendly and will get you there. Bill was the starter and made me feel like a member. We liked the course very much and would play it and recommend this to any one that likes to play a fun round of golf.

Get if the fairway and it is tough to have a good lie. Greens are excellent. Can be a tricky course if you come into the greens from the wrong side. After golf is great. Good selection of bar an gill food and drink and reasonable. Staff is very friendly. Should play it fun and handy from anyway in the valley. Central location

Shorter course but it will bite you. Greens are tough but fair.

We were the third group out. Never really saw the groups ahead of us. Pace was perfect. Conditions of the course was great. Afterwards hasd breakfast at the bar. Food was good. Staff was great. Will be back soon.
