Review

Course for summer conditions was great. Greens were solid and in great shape. Still too pricey given the time of year for golf in the desert. Bring back the great desert summer deals. Courses are not in top shape with hardly anyone playing in the afternoon. The price point may discourage golfers.

Bring the Heat

Played a 12:45 round, 7/17/24. And let me start by saying the course did everything they could to keep players cool, aside from coming around with more ice towels like they said. Greens are rock hard, but they said the redone greens take 12-16 to months come around. So around November they should be really good. Otherwise the course is fantastic, but I cannot stress enough, keep yourself cool playing in the summer heat.

Dunes Course

Staff were very friendly from the people in the pro shop to the starter. Pace of play was surprisingly slow for this time of year. We waited on just about every hole. The course was in fairly decent condition considering it was July. Greens were very firm. The course is appropriately named The Dunes. Lots of bunkers which were very deep.

Challenging Greens

Greens were very challenging, giving the "Dunes" name a true meaning. Course was in good shape though and cant beat the price due to the heat.

Getting better and better

We played this course last year and loved how challenging it was. Not called Dunes for nothing. This year we were told they restructured the greens. They are now 40% bigger than last year but still a big stiff so good luck getting your balls to stick. Most of the greens were a tad slow when putting. That was a good thing. The 4 of us had a blast playing here and will definitely be back.

Great Course

For me being a professional novice golfer this course was perfect. From the layout to the scenery. The tee boxes are well kept and the lakes are not to difficult to hit past. Most definitely coming back

Enjoyable Golf Course for Family Reunion

My two sons and I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The starter was outstanding as he gave us an overview of the property. The course was challenging particularly the fast greens that were upgraded last year. The course was in great shape and the majestic mountains were amazing. We had a great time and will return next year to play the dunes or mountain course. Thank you staff!

Greens are bumpy and slow

I'd heard the greens had a fungus after spring storms and flooding. Prior to those storms the greens were very firm and fast, being new greens. All in all, it a great course to start a trip on. The price/value can't be beat. The greens hold better than they did earlier in the year. Hopefully the fungus subsides, they roll the greens regularly, and the greens return to smooth and consistent speed.

Not really a links course

Ignore the labeling of this course as a links course. It does not give you the ability to land short and run your ball to the green. Greens are elevated and surrounded by bunkers with a very small opening at the front of the green. Greens are extremely undulating with several fall-offs on each green. Since the greens were hard and releasing, most shots rolled over the green. It would be a good idea to call about the condition of the greens before booking.

Magnificent Golf Course

My two sons and I played the dunes course over the Memorial Day weekend. It was very well maintained. The starter was very helpful in giving us an overview as first timers on the course. The greens were replaced last year, were challenging and played fast. We will return next year to play the dunes or mountain course. Thank you!
