SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Fun Course.

Course in great shape. Lots of sand. Clubhouse and amenities disappointing. Construction in bankruptcy according to several employees. Trailer clubhouse.

Not for high handicappers.

Playing this course for the first time is a wild ride, but a fun ride. You have to be able to control your ball as there are many things to consider on each and every hole. You need to make a effort to not get frustrated and just enjoy the beauty. fast and firm greens add to the challenge.

Course is great. Fast greens. Pro shop in trailer - really!? I Guess they have a restaurant and bar but who would know; nowhere near the pro shop or parking lot.

This course is a gem that sits amongst a larges scale residential development that went bankrupt in its early stages as the surrounding have a bit of a dystopian feel. There are partially completed homes and what appear to be clubhouse facilities. There aren’t any permanent facilities, but rather an odd collection of temporary trailers and other structures that serve the purpose however unattractive. All this having been said, the course is great and the range and practice greens are in good shape too.

Under construction

Not ready for prime time due to construction. Beautiful venue but the course has huge unforgiving bunkers, blind shots and questionable course layout on several holes. Did see Big Horn Sheep in the nearby mountains. I wouldn’t run to be the first in line for this course

Never had an issue...

Great course for my family and friends, only 15 minutes from our house in PGA West. Played in early October, so understanding that the course was going to be in "OK" shape, due to getting ready for the transitional time of year and the forthcoming overseeding. The course was in great shape, with the greens running around 9-10 on the meter. Staff was always friendly, especially Jose, Clayton and the rest of the cart staff.
