Oaks/Canyon at Blacklake Golf Course

About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

With the lack of rain, the fairways are not faring well.
Blacklake Lakes - Oaks
Course is a little run-down Greens in bad shape. (May be wintertime)
Fun layout, decent greens, good pace of play... Need to fire the cart guy.
Girl in the pro shop was great. Friendly and cautious.
Please fire the heavy set cart guy. He is bringing your course down. Complete jerk at every interaction. This guy all on his own makes going to this course something we will not do again. He literally is making stuff up to complain about and makes sure you hear how he thinks everyone but him is an idiot. Needs to be fired.
The course... Yes, it is rough around the edges but we thoroughly enjoyed playing it. No complaints. For the price it provided a fun time.

If you know where to look..you cannot beat the price of the tee time for this 27 hole golf course.
Indeed, the course is under repair management but you can't deny the greenskeepers work of the overall layout of this whole facility. It's huge and it's beautiful. Just playing 9 feels rewarding. Greens look great fairways need work but that will come in time.
Enjoyed it worth every cent. Apparently everyone that's rated this golf course gives no Grace and compares to PGA golf courses friend...it's a public course chill out play some golf hit keep them in the fairway
Rip Off
Course conditions were nearly unplayable. This course could be half the cost and there would still be far better options. Shame because the location and topography have great potential.
Needs considerable work. Green fees are way too high for the course condition.
Needs gopher control
Not bad over early however, multiple holes with so many gopher holes that just driving the cart through was difficult. Definitely affected play.
Fun Course
Played great for 8 holes and then the wheels fell off the bus. Fun round!!
Fun golf outing
Black Lake is an opportunity for an enjoyable game of golf. The course includes 3 circuits of 9 holes, so there is potential for a variety of play experiences. The fairways are more like short cut roughs and there were lots of what appeared to be gopher holes. Still it is a beautiful course, and we enjoyed our round.
Local course
Course in relatively good condition traps not in as good of condition. Greens were well maintained.
