Oceanside Golf Course

Although I wouldn't pay more than 40 bucks for this Muni, I felt that it was a decent experience, considering it was my first time on the track. Many fairways had just been punched which affected my conditions rating. That said, fairly challenging course with a lot of variations in the holes, my favorite trait for a golf course. Depending on the weather this course has a lot of winds to deal with, keep that in mind with your club selection. Staff was very friendly for a Muni; they let our 3 singles group go out with 3 carts. Went out on a Tuesday afternoon so pace was very quick, save for our mishits! I would recommend. For guys who don't break 90, do no play from the tips! Too much going on with this course.

This is a nice course to play with enough interesting holes and 4 sets of tee boxes. The fairways and greens are in reasonably good condition for a muni course. Most areas along the fairways are areas of dirt with little good grass to hit from. If you keep it on the fairways you have good turf to play from. The price is right

Play quick, service great . Sand traps and fairways side areas very much a mixed bag of conditions.. Lots of trees and lots of fun.

Last played this course in October 2012. It was in such bad condition (burned out fairways) that even the ground hogs didn't claim it. Now, September 2013, even with the lack of rain, the fairway grass is nice and green with evident mowing patterns. There are a few brown spots, but they're clearly marked as ground under repair. The greens are a bit faster than they look, smooth with subtle breaks especially around the hole. Don't expect holing a putt that just dies at the hole. Putts need to be fimly struck to hold the line at the holes.

Had an awesome time! All the buddies bailed so I played by myself, there was a few groups in front of me so the attendant put me off the back nine first which was wide open. Awesome views with some challenging reads, wind plays some factors, but overall great value for this course. I will definitely be playing this course with a few buddies.

Tee boxes, fairways and greens in better than most municipal courses. Good practice areas for all phases of game. Good pace of play.

The course is looking great...looks like they're putting some good work in the course.....never have seen the course look that great.

First time playing here. Thought the course rewarded good shots with the greens in good condition. Fairways needed watering but were ok. Definatly worth the price and will return on my next vacation.

Great course to play with very reasonable green fee. Not very good for practice at driving range as practice balls are pricy.

We've played this course many times before but not for several months. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course, especially the fairways. They were the greenest we've seen in a long time. The greens were in really great shape as well. Bravo to the groundskeepers!!

Our tee time was on a Sunday at noon. We didn't rush, just played our normal pace and finished in less than 4 hours.

The fairways are in decent shape. The pleasant surprise was that the greens are the best I've played on in SD County all Summer.

Greens are in better shape than in years, Some fairways are browned out but overall in great shape. Pace of play can get slow, but we moved along this time.

Apparently there was a tourney going on and our tee time was pushed back. If there was a tourney going on why was our tee time request given out if it was not going to be honored? Very upsetting to be waiting for about an hour.

the course is just ok to play.... staff named kevin fumed us with the rules..... our bad and we did apologized but was not accepted.. he told us to play somewhere else... that was not cool...

This is a really nice course for golfers who don't want to sacrifice big bucks for a game. This golf course might be under new management because I'm seeing a lot of improvements especially on their fairways. Most of the fairways have green grass and well taken care of. The greens here are really good.
This course is good for different level of expertise because it has 4-5 different tees. The driving range is in great shape and the staff is super accommodating.

not a bad course, but only decent value. there are better courses in the area for the same price, but this one does have some fun/interesting holes.

More fairway attention perhaps, but the course should be able to drill for their own water. No need for brown fairways. Otherwise, nice layout and attentive staff.

It just isn't that interesting or beautiful, has some big dog legs, the rough is mostly dirt, greens are good, has two interesting holes (up to the top of a hill and back down again) but the rest are pretty flat. Feels like I had discovered an old deserted golf course.

Fun course with open fairways and challenging greens. Definitely recommend it
