Ranch Course at Genoa Lakes Golf Club

Course was in bad shape, very dry but sign on the clubhouse explained issues with watering and irrigation pipes, so it was understandable. Good layout, potential for nice course when the course conditions are better. Staff friendly, newer facilities.

Overall I had fun.

The main issues are hard and dry fairways and sandy Tees.

The greens were pretty good.

Awesome views and a nice new safe neighborhood.

The staff were friendly.

You definitely need a golf cart for this course.

The Par 5 4th Tee was converted to a par 3 due to what appeared to be long term fairway repair issues.

Heed the warnings. Course looks like it is within weeks of shutting down. Played in afternoon and couldn’t even buy a bottle of water after 4 pm and of course there’s no water in the course due to Covid. Fairways haven’t been watered in months.

We played here a month ago and the course conditions were not very good but we figured it was because it was still recovering from the winter. Now it is just horrible! The ground is so yellow and dry and down to dirt is some parts. We were paired with a couple that lives on the course and they said that the course is having a problem with they’re water system but it has been going on for some time and they haven’t bothered to fix it. Our price on Tee Off was $60 but when we got to the course they charged us $50. It is definitely not worth the price. I regret not taking photos. They should charge more than $25 and they should warn people about the conditions when they schedule a tee time. I will say the staff there are very friendly.

The entire course is dead with the exception of the greens, don’t waste your time or money at the ranch course. I’m not sure if the lake’s course is like this .

They should literally shut the ranch course down ! No joke

No irrigation severely affected conditions. Little to no green grass on all fairways. Tees and greens barely acceptable. Wish I would have checked with pro shop prior to booking so my bad.

Played about a month ago and the greens and fairways were pretty dried out and brown. Not much improvement since then. Rates should. R dropped to reflect course conditions

They have had serious irrigation issues and the fairways were brown and crisp. Was told this issue should be getting fixed in near future. Hole #4 was played as a Par 3 instead of a Par 5 because no fairway at all. Wouldn't recommend playing at this time but when this issue is fixed this course has a great layout and great staff. Hoping to go back when it is in better condition!

Was super excited to play here again and was appalled by the condition they've let the course get to. No grass anywhere tee boxes fairways...greens were so cooked by noon we nearly quit... Bunkers full of water or caked up mud... can't believe they are charging so much for a cow pasture

All the grass is dead due to a water problem. Only the greens are alive.

They told us the watering pumps went out .

Very dried out .Has not been watered in weeks .

Must be financial

I have played here many times in the past . The conditions are sad.

I live in Tucson so all of the water and hills were a wonderful change for me to play on. Playing the course for the first time was interesting. Greens were in very good condition and pretty consistent, fairways had some bare spots. Played 3 times and there was always a stiff wind blowing. Very special course with the water and mountain views.

We should have looked at the reviews before we went there. Course is in horrible shape. Almost looks like the owners are out of money and can not afford to water it. Fairways are dead grass and the greens are just as bad. This course could be amazing but it is sad what they have let it become

Would rather play any other course in the area. It’s extremely burned out. One hole it looks like they’ve given up on the fairway and a once par 5 is now a par 3.

A great course that is seriously hurting at the moment. Looks like they’re concentrating water on the greens to keep them alive, which are soft shaggy slow n squishy. One even had puddles on it. The rest of the course is dried out dead n mostly dirt.
