Sunridge Golf Club
About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Interesting course
The front 9 was fun. Danger on every hole but fair. The back 9 was the interesting part: massive elevation changes but the target areas were difficult to decipher if you are not familiar with the course, almost gimmicky.
Previously a Course in Good Condition that is not any longer
In the past, I enjoyed playing this course. Challenging. Course with Good Conditions. Grass in fairways. Good value for the price. I returned and played on 3/17. In my opinion, the course is in poor condition. No sand in the bunkers. Minimal grass in fairways. When hitting the fairway, you are hitting your next shot off dirt. Only able to play the front 9. The course texted at 8:45AM on the day of my round the course was aerating and the back 9 was closed. Thirty dollars for 18 holes with a cart is a great price, but the course needs a lot of attention to bring back to the level it once was.
Only front 9 holes due to aeration.
Received the notification an hour before about the aeration. The pro shop manager was very kind and courteous, explaining the situation. She gave me a rain check for later use.
The views at the golf course are great in my opinion.
There are some unique elevated holes on the back 9.
I got a great rate on golf now.
Two 9 hole courses
The front nine was good with risk reward challenges and ice green for tis early in the year. The back nine was ridiculous. Four straight long par 4 and 5 into the wind. This was followed by a long drive around houses to a series of elevated tees that were a joke. The carry for most golfers was nuts. My wife was very frustrated. It was like they built the back 9 in the hills around houses by someone who never played golf. With so many other choices, we will not play here again.
Funky course
Played on a Sunday. Starter sent me out as a single on the back as a men's group was playing the front. I got up to another single in a few holes and he was a nice guy to play with. The back is different than the front and I'm not too crazy about it. Greens and tee boxes were not the best, but it is still winter golf. When we made the turn we got paired up with a twosome and they were very nice to play with. Price was great, and I would play the course again but I'm in no hurry to return.
Fun challenge with great staff!
This course will test you! Desert course with water mountain terrain and plenty of blind shots that will trick your long game. Love this course!
Fun
The course isn't in the best condition, but it's always fun to play, challenging, hidden water, and major elevation changes, some fairways have weeds but we just bump it if you're in the fairway, I Love the Course...
Fun course
I played Sunridge during the winter season on a beautiful sunny day. The front 9 holes are flat with a fair amount of water. Back 9 has elevation changes, some of which have tee areas much higher than the fairways and greens. Despite the fairway and greens grass in dormancy the course was in good shape. Being familiar with the course is an advantage mainly due to water locations and elevation changes. It was a fun experience.
LOVE this course!
This has become my favorite course outside of my country club courses (we have two). It is goofy so for some, like my wife, it's not popular. I love its UPS and DOWNS on the last five holes. VERY dramatic though hardly traditional. And, for reasons I don't understand and almost don't want to say (since it's so uncrowded), it is the best value around here!
Golf course experience
Happens to be in Tahoe in cold season and courses is close. I played in Sunridge 30 mins away and enjoy golfing with this course. Very challenging course and expectacular golf experience. I will be back again.
Hole marks and friendly staff
We all know that there is a lot of lazy golfers, but if you could fix the large ball marks on the greens, that would be great.!! I helped yesterday and like I always do by fixing about 1-3 on each green. Your staff is fantastic, thank you!
