About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Course conditions not great
I like Eagle Valley West. Great layout, challenging holes, good greens make for a good course, and great value. Today, though, conditions weren't great. Off the fairways, the rough was 3-4" deep and thick - even a foot off the fairway. Almost a penalty stroke every time you are in it. And the bunkers were rock hard ( all that water that is making the fairway lush), and in some cases, the bunkers were literally scattered with 1" rocks.
Still like the course, but it needs a little TLC.

Eagle valley, both west and east course are very good course , of course specially the west, surely would recommend it to my friends, and yes, they have friendly staffs too!

Well cared for, fun course. Friendly staff, all in all not left wanting for any element, great value.
Good value, decent layout
Overall a pretty fun course and great value for the money. Amenities are pretty bare bones, no gps or easy to find yardage markers, no water in carts or on course and not many bathrooms. Sand traps are crusty and tee boxes are in ok shape. Greens are excellent and the course layout is pretty good combo of tight shot making and wide open fairways
Fun layout - good test
Played with some friends while visiting the area this week. The west course definitely ate up some golf balls in the group. Slight drizzle came down the hills and it was a touch overcast. The greens sped up good when it stopped the light rain.
Will enjoy it more the second time after getting a read for the blind shots, etc. would definitely come back.

Deal of the century
When we landed in Reno , on our way to Tahoe I was looking for somewhere to play a warmup round before heading to Edgewood . Eagle Valley Est wasbthe perfect for this and extremely reasonable $65 total for 2 of us! We decided to come back a few days later to play the West, caught a Hot deal only $44 for both of us! The West is an awesome course, it actually reminds me of Wolf creek in Mesquite, true desert golf. The conditions on both were very good and the staff also very nice. We played woth locals and they couldn't of been nicer. .i highly t recommend
Great Day at Eagle Valley West
We were pleasantly surprised by the layout, course conditions and friendliness of the staff which led to an excellent round of golf. We are on vacation, and never know what to expect of the course, but Eagle Valley West certainly exceeded our expectations. This is a course that I would definitely play again and again.
