West at Eagle Valley Golf Course

Many of the fairways have large dirt patches. The greens were very nice. The bunkers need sand put in them. The cart paths need some work. Many areas where the concrete needs to be re-done.

I started as a single and joined the group in front of me. Three very nice local folks.

I appreciated the hospitality of the group.

They wouldn't even let me pay for the first round at the 19th!

EVW has always been rather ragged around the edges, cart path is horrible in a lot of places. No trash cans at tee boxes. The tee boxes wee fairly good, the greens were fine. The course shows that they aren't scrimping of water. The fairways were rather lush which didn't allow for much roll out off your tee shot. Now to the rough,OMG what a joke. Very hard to find your ball unless you were standing next to it, I don't remember the rough being this thick in the past. Many of the bunkers I would call GUR, only a few bunkers had actual sand in them.

There were some par 5s that were very hard. Unique setups. The bunkers were unplayable. That was disappointing. The cart paths could use some work. Overall it was still a very fun course.

We took the hot deal at 11;30.

We like the course layout and the pace of play was great. The course had lots of areas that were overwatered and the sand traps had standing water. The traps were compacted and the course uses DG instead of sand.

The fairways and greens were in fairly good shape.

EV asks players to use the cart paths, yet the cart paths are poorly maintained.

If it wasn’t for the high winds that afternoon, it was a good day.

I like Eagle Valley West. Great layout, challenging holes, good greens make for a good course, and great value. Today, though, conditions weren't great. Off the fairways, the rough was 3-4" deep and thick - even a foot off the fairway. Almost a penalty stroke every time you are in it. And the bunkers were rock hard ( all that water that is making the fairway lush), and in some cases, the bunkers were literally scattered with 1" rocks.

Still like the course, but it needs a little TLC.

Eagle valley, both west and east course are very good course , of course specially the west, surely would recommend it to my friends, and yes, they have friendly staffs too!

Well cared for, fun course. Friendly staff, all in all not left wanting for any element, great value.

Overall a pretty fun course and great value for the money. Amenities are pretty bare bones, no gps or easy to find yardage markers, no water in carts or on course and not many bathrooms. Sand traps are crusty and tee boxes are in ok shape. Greens are excellent and the course layout is pretty good combo of tight shot making and wide open fairways

Played with some friends while visiting the area this week. The west course definitely ate up some golf balls in the group. Slight drizzle came down the hills and it was a touch overcast. The greens sped up good when it stopped the light rain.

Will enjoy it more the second time after getting a read for the blind shots, etc. would definitely come back.
