West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Greatest value for my $. Golf course It is in great condition for a winter round
Must come to this course , it is the greatest value for the money!
Decent golf course
Pain in the behind when your tee time gets pushed back 40 minutes while your getting ready to tee off because a random tournament has to play through in front of you
Fun Course
The course was in good condition for this time of year. It has holes that are challenging and different from the courses in the area. A bargain.
Local fav
Nice round of 18. Not 9 decent holes, followed by 9 funky holes. 18 decent holes in a row. Both courses are appreciate for skill levels, with the East being more forgiving, while the West allows room to stretch for the most advanced players.
Unfriendly staff and overwatered course.
Have played the east course a couple time and this was my first time playing the west course.
While checking in with my son the older gentleman not even the one checking us in was very rude and threatening us about joining the group in front of us who are friends. Even my friend checking in behind me couldn’t believe the tone and what was said.
Once out on the course, the fairways needed trimming and every part of the course including the greens were completely soaked. Big puddles all along the course that smelled like sewer but was just stagnant water and mine you it was in the 90s when we were playing and the puddles weren’t drying up.
Overall the kitchen staff was friendly and helpful but the older gentleman in the pro shop set our day off to a bad start. Even the Marshall drove past us playing with 6 people and just waved.
Perfect conditions!
Everything was perfect except some excess water and bumpy cart paths.
Shotgun Alley
I only title it this due to on the West Course you hear gunfire all the time due to skeet range right next door. A little unnerving at times. Though this time around the greens were in really good shape but don't get in the bunkers as they are as hard as a rock. Very few are sandy. The course is challenging and bang for your buck is great value. Much better than Empire Ranch though not a good as Dayton or Sunridge. Though for amenities and such this is the best ran Duncan property the staff is the best.
Eagle Valley West
Good views! Overall pace was great until the back 9 par 3 at the top. Kinda bottled neck for about 10 minutes. Most golfers took in stride, but there’s always one golfer didn’t care for the delay. Definitely will play the West again…
