About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Fun track
Everything was satisfactory with the exception of the fairways were scalped really close so every shot was off of a very tight lie, otherwise it was good.

Good course.
Well maintained. Intriguing layout. Very friendly staff. A restaurant in clubhouse which unfortunately i didnt get a chance to try. Only complaint is the gnats on the course were pretty bad. Had to back off the ball a few times and deal with them in your face most of the day but overall a really nice course

Great Local Course
This is a great local golf course, designed by Gary Player. It has several hills, water hazards and is a relatively tough course. The course I in excelled condition.

Great day other than a 5 some in front of us. I’m sure that not allowed
Course in very good shape. Couple kind of crazy holes but that’s fine. Staff friendly and got us right out. 5 some in front of us was very slow. I think they were glad we were behind them. They left a club on like 6 or 7 holes. We would ride it up to them. They never offered to let us go through. Maybe because we were cleaning up behind them. We will go back for sure.

Nice afternoon round
Enjoyed the round with my grandson, course is in good shape. Some fairways were wet but no restrictions on carts. Greens in good shape and pace of play was great! Well worth the Hot Deal price.

One of my favorites in the area.
I love the layout of this golf course. It is challenging enough to force you to think for all 18 holes without being a particularly long course. Even if you aren’t a very long player (relative to your tee box selection ) you will be rewarded for visualizing and executing the correct shot, and probably punished for doing the opposite. It’s a great course to challenge your golf buddies to a round of golf because everyone will have to pick their shots. The “spray and pray” or “bomb and gorge” long ball hitter of the group will only have the advantage on a few holes. A well placed shot will almost always lead to a more favorable approach shot on this course.
Greens are pretty smooth and consistent. Medium to medium quick for a non-private course. Practice green accurately represents the putting surface you will see on the course.
One of my favorites in the area. Love River Falls.
I play public courses in the Greenville/ Simpsonville area 1-2 times/week, tees in the 6500 yard range, 9-10 handicap index.
Much improved
Played this course last year and was a little disappointed with the conditions. Every aspect of the course is greatly improved, especially the greens. Shows some effort has been made and the experience was enjoyable.
