About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Used a Rental Set
Was in town on business with two other people. We rented clubs and that was a disaster. Super old mixed bag and my friend who was a lefty they didn’t have a putter for… he did good right handed. Other than that, the staff was great, the course was really fun (lots of elevated tee shots) and in good condition. Would be tough to walk and no way a cart girl could get around there.
Recommend for those who have their sticks with them.
Great course
Great course and very nice staff. Pace of play was a bit of a problem. Got there at 2p to tee off and 12 people were on number 1? Asked to start on 10 but got behind 2 foursomes that wouldn’t let our twosome play through. Ended up skipping 2 holes to get by then and prevent a 5 hour round.

Poor conditions for such a nice course
The fairways are very hard and dry lots of dead spots. This course needs a lot more moisture on the fairways as well as most greens. It is hard seeing such a well designed and course turn into what it is right now. A more fair price for this course would be about 35$ in its condition and not 43$
Scenic and Amazing Course
This course is one of our favs. Great layout with beautiful scenic holes and difficult for all levels.. The greens were in great shape. Practice facility was great and a must play course if you are in the Spartanburg- Greenville area.. Can’t wait to play again!!!!
