About
Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

Excellent condition
The golf course is in excellent condition from tee to green all the way through. The layout is challenging but fair. Sometimes the pace of play can be a little slow as the course is busy most every day.
Played front 9 twice to work on the back 9.
Have played here many times! Love the course! Everyone is friendly, but a tough course to walk. We did not know they were punching the greens on the back 9 so we played the front twice. Not a problem and had a great afternoon there!
Over booked
Willow Creek over booked and our t time was backed up an hour . Scheduled time was 11:40. We arrived at 10:50 and checked in, guy in pro shop said nothing. We were informed of the delay when checking with starter. They should have at least offered to give us range balls.

I’m not a great golfer, heck I’m not even good, but feeling rushed by people behind us doesn’t help. We played on a Tuesday afternoon and it was busy, always people behind us. This was a nice course, so I would assume if it’s like that on a Tuesday, then it will always be busy. Really nice course, good hole layouts, great staff, and nice amenities. I would come prepared to play at a quick pace.

Great Course
This is a very nice courier all the way around. Beautiful scenery, greens are fast and roll true, fairway was in great shape. It is a pretty open course so good for all skill levels. I recommend playing this course if you haven’t already. Only negative I have to say is the stater approached us at hole 11 and stated we had a few open holes in front of us and if we could speed it up. However we had been waiting on group in front of us and were playing at proper pace.

Great course
Course was in great condition. Friend arrived a little late and starter was very accommodating despite being reallt busy. Would highly recommend the course
Great course, spectacular layout
I have played out at Willow Creek several times and always enjoy it. Course is currently in great shape. Greens are super fast and firm currently making it very challenging but still fair.
Greens were great. Fairways need the weather to change. Practice tees are a mess-again, need weather to change.
Slow group in front of us had us waiting on every tee. Sometimes the group behind was waiting with us.
