Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

Must’ve been no friends day at the course. Way too many singles. Stopped play three times on the front to let them through. By the turn, we’d had enough. We just paced out on the back and ignored anyone else behind us. Cart guy on the turn thought it was funny. I guess that’s why we had our attitude on the back.
Solid course, slow play
I wasn’t sure what to expect on this local course as it was new to me. I was paired with two gentleman upon start at Noon, who had played the course before. Thankfully I’m a pretty social person, so meeting two strangers and being asked to ride in the same cart immediately by the starter wasn’t bad for me, but I could see some people being uncomfortable. The two other GolfNow users in my group were great and we were all around the same handicapped which made things go smooth, and took some of the pressure off.
Nice course
Great course . Don’t really like having to pair up with random players if you only have 2. Sometimes it works out but sometimes you get really slow players
Pace of play
After four hours of standing around we called it quits with 5 holes to go.
Solid course. Great value.
Willow Creek offers the club “feel” without the club price. It’s nestled in a golf course community that weaves in and out of some very nice houses. The greens were under repair in a few spots and the fairways had plenty of unrepaired divots that need maintenance but for a busy public course, it’s in overall good condition. The starter put us on the first tee right on time and we saw course marshals several times throughout our round though they never had cause to approach us. ⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️/5
Awesomeness
This is a very tricky course to play and will challenge any level of golfer. The course is well taken care of and the staff are very helpful and courteous. I couldn't ask for a better experience!
Excellent shape
Greens were pure and the course was in great shape!
Fair and friendly track
Love this course and I think it plays very fair for the mediocre golfer. Bunkers need lots of work however. That’s the only negative.
