Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

Dry conditions over last month have greens VERY hard.
First time playing here in 4 years. The area has had very little rain over the last month and the greens were hard. High lofted shot’s hitting on the greens would bounce at least 4 feet high and would not hold. Anything above the hole was impossible to stop close to the hole. The starter and pro shop was very friendly. Got paired with a couple of Gentleman that were very nice. My recommendation is to let it rain and soften the greens. Greens and fairways are in good shape but just dry. They can’t control the weather just know your Drives are rolling farther and shots kept rolling a good ways downhill.. allow for that off the first hole you play.
Great winter condition
Greens were vert fast, course was free from leaves in the fairways, weather was superb. A very enjoyable round.
Slow due to circumstances beyond anyones control. Frost delay.
fly overs were deceiving
From the fly over views on the course web site, I thought this was going to be a flat and easy course. Wrong!! This course has a lot of contour and the designers didn't know the meaning of straight. It was a fun, challenging course. I think I used every club in the bag. Fairways were good and the greens were fast and true. Will play here again if we get back to this area.

Must’ve been no friends day at the course. Way too many singles. Stopped play three times on the front to let them through. By the turn, we’d had enough. We just paced out on the back and ignored anyone else behind us. Cart guy on the turn thought it was funny. I guess that’s why we had our attitude on the back.
Solid course, slow play
I wasn’t sure what to expect on this local course as it was new to me. I was paired with two gentleman upon start at Noon, who had played the course before. Thankfully I’m a pretty social person, so meeting two strangers and being asked to ride in the same cart immediately by the starter wasn’t bad for me, but I could see some people being uncomfortable. The two other GolfNow users in my group were great and we were all around the same handicapped which made things go smooth, and took some of the pressure off.
Nice course
Great course . Don’t really like having to pair up with random players if you only have 2. Sometimes it works out but sometimes you get really slow players
Pace of play
After four hours of standing around we called it quits with 5 holes to go.
