Wild Dunes Harbor Course, designed by Tom Fazio, is said to be cut from some of the prettiest real estate in South Carolina. Water makes up a great deal of the Harbor Course layout. After all, half the course runs along the world’s longest water hazard, The Intracoastal Waterway. Fazio claims the Harbor Course to be one of his favorites. "Working on the Harbor Course was very satisfying to me as a designer because we had to create everything. It was a very challenging, and ultimately, a very satisfying project."

The course was in poor shape

They didn’t advise it was cart path only due to seeding. The greens were in bad shape because nobody in South Carolina must know how to fix a divot. I started at 2:30 and did not get to finish the last four holes.

Golf course

Staff was friendly. Course was in pretty good shape overall Tight fairways so better hit straight of the tee. Greens are however some of the smallest I’ve ever played in 40 years I’ve been playing. Pace of play was terrible. We started at 2:30 and couldn’t finish our round due to getting too dark. Didn’t get to play last two holes. And for the price there are much better courses to play! They want around $250 for prime spots in early November when we played. I paid 100 for 2:30 spot. I don’t mind paying up but this course is r worth it.

A fun course to play

I enjoyed my round at the Harbor course. It offered plenty of challenges but did not leave me feeling beat up at the end of the day. Tee boxes, fairways and green were all in great shape in spite of extremely wet weather the previous few days. Lack of a clubhouse bar was noted. I would definitely recommend this course to players of all levels.

Narrow Fairways

The fairways are pretty narrow, with marsh/dunes on both sides. The first tee is located a good distance away from the pro shop, while the ninth green isn’t located anywhere near a snack bar, or restrooms.

Nice course decent shape. Staff very friendly. Very hot summer conditions with no water on the course. This was a big miss by Mgt. Won’t be back to fall or spring if this continues
