Harbor at Wild Dunes Golf Links
About
Wild Dunes Harbor Course, designed by Tom Fazio, is said to be cut from some of the prettiest real estate in South Carolina. Water makes up a great deal of the Harbor Course layout. After all, half the course runs along the world’s longest water hazard, The Intracoastal Waterway. Fazio claims the Harbor Course to be one of his favorites. "Working on the Harbor Course was very satisfying to me as a designer because we had to create everything. It was a very challenging, and ultimately, a very satisfying project."

Tight Fairways With Lots of Water
Really tight fairways and you pay for missing them with lots of water and marshy areas, usually on both sides of the fairways, Given that they did not have their own driving range, the first couple holes for me were difficult until I got warmed up. I was told that there was a driving range at another course down the road but, as it took me nearly 20 minutes to find a parking space, I didn't want to give it up and then try and find another space when I came back. Overall the course was well cared for and the views were often stunning.
tight, interesting & well kept...
if you’re a beginner - bring lots of balls
staff couldn’t have been nicer, some great low-country vistas accompanied the last few holes & no two holes were alike...
a bit of a drive to get there from Charleston...but worth the trip!
Easily the biggest ripoff for me in over.a decade
Not even worth $100 let alone the $200 i paid. Tiny par 3s, tiny par 5s, the worlds smallest greens, set up is weird as course was developed within already established construction. Id play this again for $80 not $200
Great Time at Wild Dunes Harbor Course
Nice course
Fair price. Need to have better directions for each hole. . Pace of play was slow. Greens were rolling really slow
Enjoyable Round but Rather Peculiar Track
Mother Nature dialed up an unexpectedly good weather forecast for mid January so friend and I decided to take advantage. Got a choice time with no issues and a really good off season rate. Was an enjoyable all around day with a brisk pace of play. Conditions were fine for this time of year. Greens above average. The scenery and views are outstanding. The course is a challenge. Has some of the skinniest fairways we’ve ever played and some have OB on one side water on the other. Even slightly errant shot on those holes is a guaranteed penalty stroke. A handful of greens are so small you’d think you were on an executive or par 3 course. Not sure if I’d play here at rack rate, mainly because if your game is off at all you’re going to get exposed. There’s just not much forgiveness to be had.
aWeSoMe!!!
I’ve played this course at least 15 times. The scenery would make an artist green with envy.
Tough? Yes, it is. I’d recommend any new player to NOT try and over power it, smaller bites work a lot better.
They’re are a couple par 4’s I play as par 5’s. (#4 & 17)
For January the greens were in great shape.
