About
Located next to several residential areas, the golf course at the Apache Wells Country Club was designed with seniors in mind. With that consideration, the course is mostly flat to make it an easily walkable. The course was originally only a nine-hole course but in 1966, Milt Coggins designed the back nine holes. Trees line many of the fairways and there is also a housing development that runs alongside the fairways. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. Being so close to a residential area, there are many out-of-bounds stakes on both sides. Apache Wells Country Club is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October.

Boring course.
First off showed up 15 minutes before tee time. Didn't get through the line checking in until 5 minutes after my tee time. Found out they were shot gunning about 24 groups all at once. My group was a five some surrounded by all foursomes. Said groups were complaining we were slow. I played with 2 plus 30 and 2 plus 24 handicaps and we finished in 4 hours and 5 minutes. The course was in good condition, but all holes were pretty much the same. Flat, and straight away.
Apache Wells
For the less than perfect golfer I couldn't ask for anything better. It's a fairly easy course. The fairways and greens are immaculate, pace of play perfect, power carts in excellent condition, amenities and staff friendliness couldn't be better.
Nice course
This course has fairly wide fairways and very little vegetation off the fairways. Mostly palm trees and some large bushes that are widely spaced. Even if you hit it wide right or left you usually have a shot.
This course could easily be walked as it is relatively flat. There are a couple of holes with water in play which can be a challenge when it's windy.
The course was in nice shape and the greens were a little slow but not bad given it had just come out of overseeding. Will play again.
Always in very good shape. A great deal for the money.
This is a course that is playable for all skill levels. Not too difficult but there is sufficient variation among holes. The course was in good shape considering the high summer temps. The greens were just a little to the slow side but provided for a true roll. A good value for a quick round of summer golf.
Lol
Course layout is fair. Probably the worst greens in Arizona. It is like putting on 70s carpet.
good value
Nice pace of play, but greens were still recovering from recent punching/sanding.
Fun easy resort course
Relaxing round a nice break from playing challenging Scottsdale courses. Off season so course was a little rough but still a good day. If your looking for challenging golf not a course for you.
Extremely friendly staff. Booked hot deal online and unfortunately played as a single. I prefer the company on the course.
Well maintained
Fun course though not very challenging. Greens we great and the course was in great shape
Perfect day for golf
Greens had been sanded and they had started to punch the fairways, but greens rolled well and no issues in the fairways. A foursome held up the pace for the entire day, and no one could move them along any faster. Group ahead of us was much more frustrated than we were.
Relaxing atmosphere
Mix up with tee times had me going off after a tournament. .... long round with some holes backed up with 3 or 4 groups.
Course was in good condition. On the short side but fun. Rates made it a good bargain.
Pleasant day at Apache Wells
Pace of play was excellent, played around under 2.5 hours. Course was wide open. Fairways were in good condition.excellent value!
Plain
The course was very boring.
Worth the summer price
My tee time was at 720 and they let me go early which was nice. The course was really straight forward. The Staff was friendly and informed me that the cart lady wouldn't be out which is good to know when walking. The pace of play was poor because there was a 4 some of ladies that wouldn't allow anyone to pass them. Other than that the course was pretty good and had only a few dead spots for the summer heat.
Generally a grear course with balanced 3,4 and par 5's. Thanks Hoyt Davis
