About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Not bad. Early season condition
Basically your up and back course layout with a couple challenging holes. Fairways were in good shape, rough areas where there was grass was deep and thick. Greens were in ok condition but fairly fast

Course is in decent shape for early in the year. Enjoyable round.
Perfect day
Played on 11/18-cart path only. Course in good shape after overseeding! Pace of play was good. Golfers need to fill in divots while waiting. Would like to see more management of garbage on and around the course-takes away from the beauty of it. The staff is always very nice!
Nice course
We played on 11/25, 90 degree rule.Most tee boxes had grass, fairways were pretty nice albeit people need to fill in divots while waiting, bunkers ok, and most greens pretty good shape. Pace of play was just over 4 hours but we were not in a hurry and it was great weather! The staff is very nice! There is only one water station on the course and one at the turn by the pro shop. There is a beverage cart, she was very nice! Only complaint is the marshals should attempt to pick up garbage when driving around.
Really nice right now
I can’t think of anything bad to say about the course. Everything was really nice after the re-seeding. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were great. Good times!
Course is in great shape except the greens are somewhat bumpy. Its like the winter grass didnt come in very well
Coming along after overseeding
We play here often. Played on 11/18, cart path only, that’s ok unless you miss the fairways. Some tee boxes could use some restructuring help, fairways had consistent grass, greens not bad(some had bare/dead spots). There’s only one water station but the beverage cart was frequent. Ice in the coolers now! Staff is awesome! Need to pick up trash ie marshals on their rounds, and also encourage golfers to fill/fix their divots!!
Course in Real Good Condition
Fairways in good condition / first cut of rough very thick (over seeding ???)…. Really enjoyed playing this course yesterday & appreciated that they give a discount to military…. Will be back again soon…

The course was in great condition and greens were good. My first time playing and I had a great time. Between Dave who helped me set up account, I’m old, and Gary at front desk there were awesome. I’ve golfed for a while so no golf and this course was old school, really enjoyed it. Definely by a card for course. Also a shout out to Fred and Ben at cart barn cool guys very helpful. Good value for the money. Decent shape for in between season. Greens re in good shape.
A little cool but lots of FUN
Other than being 'Cart Path Only' it was a great day on the golf course.
Outside and Inside staff was very professional, made you feel welcome and asked if there was anything else we needed.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
We'll play this course again for sure.

Nice practice facilities, friendly staff and course was fun too.
Over seed was coming in fine, pretty open course, but trees and a little OB comes into play.
