Toka Sticks Golf Club
About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

good
better grass than most public courses at this time
Very Slow Round
5 hours plus to play this course on a Sunday afternoon. We followed a junior tournament and at some holes there were up to 4 groups waiting. The tournament players were very slow, each completely putting out before the next player would putt.
Also, some golf ediquette should be taught to the juniors, pulling carts across the tee boxes, leaving clubs 25 yards out in front of the greens then walking back down the fairways to retreive their clubs. On the last hole, the two final groups joined up making for an unbearably long 18th hole. Enough was enough and we walked off!

Fun day! Course was in good shape. Played in 4 hours. Starter was alittle early. Some issues when u get off the fairway, but they seemed to be working on them. We’ll definitely play again.
Flat, so so
First time to play here. Course was in good shape. Staff was very nice. Unlikely I'd return though. Nothing special except for challenging greens.
Good value
During the winter, golf is expensive in the valley. This is priced reasonable and greens are excellent as well as fairways. Not the most difficult course but fun to play. A few challenging holes. If a scratch golfer probably way to easy for you. I’m between a 10 and 11 and enjoy the course and layout.
Toka Sticks
Nice course and a good value, fairways were nice and green and the greens roll true. Not a difficult layout but a very fun day. Staff was friendly and excellent.

An enjoyable round. Staff very accommodating and pleasant. Course conditions very acceptable.
Always a decent time
Toka Sticks is always in pretty decent shape. Not too difficult, not too easy, so it's a nice place to play if you can get a decent price.
Great course for the money
Course layout was a little confusing must be because it was our first time the course conditions were alright lots of rodent holes. Pace of play was okay but the schedule two singles behind us that we allowed to play through because it only made sense. Only downfall was that they started picking up all the flags before we were done and we have to finish our last 3-4 holes without flags which was a lot harder and took longer due to the fact one of us had to go stand by the hole to get an idea of where to shoot.
Could use a ranger
We have golfed numerous times and enjoy this course, but there were 5 different groups waiting on one hole this time out. They really could use a ranger at times because pace of play can be very slow and it causes multiple groups waiting on one hole. Once the waiting starts, it seems to continue throughout the round based on what we experienced there.
