About
Cave Creek Golf Course is Phoenix's most popular municipal course, seeing about 100,000 rounds yearly. In 1983, Cave Creek began as a landfill reclamation project. It's a sort of pioneer in environmental design, proving similar spots can find environmentally friendly uses. It's open dawn to dusk, year-round.
Eighteen holes of par-72 golf take golfers over 6,732 yards on the Cave Creek Golf Course, kicking off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 363 yards from the blue tees, before things get long on the second hole, which measures 510 yards from the blue tees. That's just one of four long holes, with the sixth hole measuring 532 yards from the blue tees, the 11th coming in at 521 yards from the blue tees, and the sixth having a distance of 518 yards from the blue tees. The round concludes after a suggested playing time of four hours and 10 minutes on the 18th hole, a par 4 that measures 388 yards from the blue tees.
The city of Phoenix has contracted with several hotel chains to offer stay-and-play packages for golfers at the Cave Creek Golf Course and other municipal tracks.

Great muni track and of course paired with great locals. Conditions are great and the pace of play was a surprise. Quick mid-day round in about 4 hrs. Food was great. Fees are well worth the price. Would definately play again.
Just Fine
Nice municipal track with an interesting design, decent condition and lots of variety - even a ranger (marshall) who doubled as the starter and kept things moving along. If they found the $$ to complete/improve the cart-path, it would almost be top-notch. Once again, thanks to GolfNow for a great Hot Deal rate, making it really good value.

good course
Great value for the money, has an interesting and tricky layout and has a challenging green. the pace of play was not good that day and there was no marshall to guide the players. They can do something with the cart path, it is in ruins.

Best deal for the money
I have played courses that cost more and are not nearly as nice. To me Cave Creek provides everything the more expensive courses do. Very well kept up with a friendly staff and great practice facility also.

Very nice course
It had been a few years since I last played here - not sure why - is a very nice course, overseed was very good and greens rated 8 out of 10.

Hot deal
Went off on time. paired with a walker and a few spots had long paths between holes. Fairways were good and I had trouble with putting but that was my fault. For the hot deal price I was not disappointed

Great Course
I had fun. Not many people get golf carts here so if you plan on getting one you'll be waiting a little. Other than that I have no complaints greens were nice and overall coarse was in great cintions. Range balls are 10 for 100, they have two chipping areas and a big putting area.
