About
Cave Creek Golf Course is Phoenix's most popular municipal course, seeing about 100,000 rounds yearly. In 1983, Cave Creek began as a landfill reclamation project. It's a sort of pioneer in environmental design, proving similar spots can find environmentally friendly uses. It's open dawn to dusk, year-round.
Eighteen holes of par-72 golf take golfers over 6,732 yards on the Cave Creek Golf Course, kicking off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 363 yards from the blue tees, before things get long on the second hole, which measures 510 yards from the blue tees. That's just one of four long holes, with the sixth hole measuring 532 yards from the blue tees, the 11th coming in at 521 yards from the blue tees, and the sixth having a distance of 518 yards from the blue tees. The round concludes after a suggested playing time of four hours and 10 minutes on the 18th hole, a par 4 that measures 388 yards from the blue tees.
The city of Phoenix has contracted with several hotel chains to offer stay-and-play packages for golfers at the Cave Creek Golf Course and other municipal tracks.

Course is in good condition. Greens were soft and quick. Great course for the money. Slower than I like to play which was 4.5 hours.

It is what it is...
Played at 11.00 am / 4 hours 30 minute Round. A lot of walkers out in the morning. I thought they could only walk after 2pm... Course is in ok condition. I hope one day they built a real cart path.

Greens were fun to play
Cart paths leave a lot to be desired. Wide fairways easy to hit.a lot of goosebumps on some fair ways so be careful where you step.

Over seeding is done but some greens a little fuzzy. By next week it will be prefect

What is this place?
This place is the weirdest golf course I’ve ever played at. They allow large groups to play without carts, which leads to huge back ups. The most annoying part about this place was that a woman who called herself the “ranger” came up to my husband and I and mentioned that it was “cart path only” but they don’t even have a cart path. Legit no cart path at all. It’s like a dirt road that doesn’t always exist then you randomly will be on a cement path that leads into a bunch of bushes and trees (hole 11). I wish I could have gotten my money back. The only nice the thing about it was there greens and grass was surprisingly well maintained.
