About
The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Worth the $, but don't expect Pebble Beach
Course is flat and has an easy layout - good for a weekend round and for players who don't play very often. You are playing a city course - people that go here do not rake the traps or fix their divots, so don't expect the courtesy from the people that play here to be where it should be. The greens were aerated the day we played but still ran pretty consistently. Good value for the price paid - for sure !!

Nostalga
My friend and I will usually play this course a couple of times a year for nostalgia. as we both grew up in Phoenix. It was a fun time for us to stroke down memory lane. The overcast weather was great with scattered birdies.

Surprising
Amazing condition for a public course that costed $34. Pretty easy course with not much trouble. Had a lot of rain in the last month or so, course was quite green. Awesome course for the value. Greens were on the slow side but ran true. Bunkers had nice sand. No complaints here, other than I wasn’t sub par.

Rainy day
Encanto was in good shape for this time of year! Great value at $25. Staff was great!

Potential, but not great at the moment
Disappointing because this could be a really solid track, but the greens are not good at the moment. Extremely slow and the ball bounces on every putt. Most of the fairways and tee boxes were in good condition. Still a good value even with the greens in poor shape. Some cool views of downtown phoenix as well.

Old course in decent condition. A good challenge from the tips. Very friendly staff.

Poor pace of play
While traveling, we decided to squeeze in a round before a late afternoon flight. No carts were available at our tee time, so delayed by 1/2 hour.. We planned on 5 hours, but every hole on the back 9 was backed up with 2 to 3 foursomes each. No course marshal; not sure how that could happen. Staff in the pro shop and grill were friendly.
Course was burned, but that’s average for Phoenix this time of year.
