About
The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Good track in good condition
Pro shop staff kept things moving, asked me for my city card and announced I had a free round! Sent me out one group early so we had a 3 some and the group behind us had a 3 some. Smart move. Teed off at 7:04 am, played in 4 hours. Never saw a ranger and should’ve, as the group ahead of us played pretty slow. Not a huge issue, but a Ranger could’ve helped. Course in very good condition, fairways nice and shaped around rough areas, greens nice. Sand not real good, but it’s a muni, what do you expect. Lots of people walking in the nice weather. Very good morning.

Great spot during over seeding
Great bang for your buck here. Played in under 4 hours, gotta get out before 8am. Course played solid and greens rolled true.

Good course, but overpriced
This is a great course for convenience but it is overpriced. For my review I will stick to simple numbers.
With a cart, for a 2pm tee time this late September I would expect to pay less than $45 considering the many cheaper options across the valley.
Also, the 3par holes are tough - don’t expect an easy fun round of golf: this is a challenging course. I personally enjoyed this challenge!
Overall a good course but I’m surprised at the high price. Even in the heat of summer this course never drops low.
First time
Played here for the first time and enjoyed our round. For the money well worth the day. Relatively a straightforward course distances are true and basically just traps to play around.

Not as good as it used to be
Used to really enjoy the course. Course maintenance has waned. Choppy fairways. Bare ground around the greens. .pace of play was horrible, tolerable on the front nine but waiting behind 3-4 groups on every hole on the back nine.

Worth the $, but don't expect Pebble Beach
Course is flat and has an easy layout - good for a weekend round and for players who don't play very often. You are playing a city course - people that go here do not rake the traps or fix their divots, so don't expect the courtesy from the people that play here to be where it should be. The greens were aerated the day we played but still ran pretty consistently. Good value for the price paid - for sure !!

Nostalga
My friend and I will usually play this course a couple of times a year for nostalgia. as we both grew up in Phoenix. It was a fun time for us to stroke down memory lane. The overcast weather was great with scattered birdies.

Surprising
Amazing condition for a public course that costed $34. Pretty easy course with not much trouble. Had a lot of rain in the last month or so, course was quite green. Awesome course for the value. Greens were on the slow side but ran true. Bunkers had nice sand. No complaints here, other than I wasn’t sub par.
