The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Slow Go
Mid day t time was a slow roll thru the front 9. But it moved much beterr second nine as some of the players in the groups ahead bailed out.
Can use some help from the Marshall if using one.

First time for Encanto
The course is one of the oldest in the state apparently and it has been maintained well but the slowness of play and the cost were a little bit to much to go back again. There are many courses that are available to play for $50.00 that are in great shape and the pace of play is very good.

Greens and Pace of Play
They pack you in on the weekends so there were 3 groups on all the par threes and a long wait. The greens are very rough and they do not roll true. Since this is a city run course, the inside staff is not great but the outside staff was excellent. Good value for this time of the year when most courses in town are north of $100.

Course in great shape just needs a little fine tuning to be great. Would recommend playing one of the best munis I have played.

Just fine
Played in under 4hrs. Just to let all of you know, the course is NOT forward tee friendly. I have my wife tee off at the beginning of each fairway. The course is too cheap to put in tee markers that are forward tee friendly. Most of the time, forward tees are just a few yards in front of the regular white tees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Change of Pace From Desert Courses
If you are looking for a course that is change from the typical desert courses, this one is perfect. This is not a punishing course. The holes pretty much all run parallel to each other, so an errant tee shot with not hurt you that much like it would in a desert course. The course has a lot of nice dog legs, greens are usually in great condition with nice pin placements. This course reminds me of a midwestern muni but with palm trees instead of oaks.
