About
The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Like an old buddy
Encanto is what it is. It is flat, it isn’t very long, and there isn’t a ton of imagination going on here. Staff is very friendly, course is in very good shape and will be better when the greens recover from being punched, and the pace is good in spite of a lot of players being on the course. It’s like an old friend and if that is what you are looking for, here it is.
Good Value
Not an above average challenge. Not many water hazards. Good bunker placement. You get what you pay for and at $35 for July in AZ, with. 7am tee time, a good value.

Rough conditions
The condition of the course was not great. I understand that every course has to airify their greens and fairways but it’d be nice to know before booking a round. It also took my threesome over 2 and a half hours to finish the front 9.

Fun golf
This course is always fun. Open fairways and some good bunker placements. The greens are pretty quick right now for a municipal course but still made it fun.

Public metro course
Very much a closed quarters, flat, not particularly challenging or interesting public course. Conditions were as anticipated/ what I expected. It was relatively close to the airport and I had a late afternoon flight. It was fun. I was paired up with some very fun locals regulars. Great guys. I scored very nicely!
Nice track
Great greens......fast and undulating. Good layout with lots of variety. For a city muni course, I rate it excellent.

Encanto not so enchanting
Mediocre course, flat, greens-to-tees poorly maintained, way overpriced. limited sand in sand traps.
I do credit the staff for hospitality and friendliness.

For a more challenging and newer layout may we suggest you try Aguila Golf Course. Fun course and forgiving.
Nice muni course. Fast greens and well groomed fairways. Not sure why people are bashing the bunkers. I found the sand traps in good shape.
