About
The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Great course but the whole “we close at 5:30 and the carts need to be returned” statement was a little upsetting there was still at least 20-30 minutes of sunlight.

Forcing strangers to share a cart
This was one of my favorite courses to play in Phoenix but unfortunately that will no longer be the case. They are not following Maricopa County Covid policies and are forcing strangers to share carts. There is no mention of this on GolfNow or their website. I asked to pay extra for my own cart and was refused. I used to recommend this course to everyone I played with, but I cannot risk my health when there are plenty of courses in the area following the rules.

Good to play
It's a public course run by the city . It was a good price for this time of the year. It's peak season here so prices are up. Course layout is ok considering the city park.
There's two courses a 9hole executive 18 hole all within the park.
Water all around... Hard to lose your ball flat and open area.
Played with good people which made it fun to be there... Would recommend for a good day of golf.

Old course...that definitely shows it's age.
Little variety and best part of course are some of the views of Phoenix.much better options around

Perfect day with 4 hr pace of play on a Sunday.
Greens in good condition. Course overall good with exception of pot holes in a couple of csrt paths.

Encanto 18
Really liked the course - greens seemed a little bumpy on the rolls - hard to get a true line, but not horrific. Fairways in great shape, ,traps were kind of ok. Pace was pretty slow. really enjoyed the course - so beautiful with all the palm trees. really liked how long the course played!

Good old Encanto!
I walked Encanto, got paired with a very nice gentleman (fellow retired guy:-) and pretty darned good golfer! Encanto was just reopening Tues after reseeding and was in terrific shape, was pleasantly surprised! We teed off at 10:08 and were done by 1:15. I'm sure it plays slower normally, but we were lucky and hit a open section on the tee-sheet. Have played this course 1-2 times a year since high school and I will go enjoy it again!

Great value during AZ high season
We played as a three ball probably 7-10 days after over-seeding re-opening. Fairways in excellent shape but greens still very slow. 2 walkers and one rider played in 3 1/2 hours. Starter allowed us to go out half an hour earlier than our scheduled tee-time which was very accommodating.

First time I have played here in 30 years. Course was in good shape for this time of year, fairways mostly green grass. Sand traps were a bit hard but playable. I wish rakes were back out to rake the traps. Greens were in the fall transition but pretty smooth Good value for the price paid. Definitely go back.
