The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Second visit to Encanto
Good course for the intermediate player, wide fairways and level greens. Played twice around the 4 hour mark with a noon tee off time. Try it I think you will like it!
Tougher than it looks
Fairways pretty narrow, but rough is very playable. Fairways and greens in great condition.

Course was in good shape for a muni. Played in just over 4 hours.

Decent City course
Decent city course but not very challenging. Greens we're in great shape as we're the fairways. The rough was easy to get out of. The bunker sand was pretty terrible. Closer to hard packed fine gravel than sand.
Hole in One!
First ever hole-in-one on the 177 yard 5th hole so I highly recommend this course. Fun day!

Great play for the money
Have not played here in two years. Was pleasantly surprised to find the fairways and greens in such great shape. Pace of play was spectacular as we teed off at 8:00am and was finished by 11:30 while playing as a foursome. Great day!

SLOOOOW Play
Started at 12:34 PM. Waited 5-10 minutes on each tee box and for each approach shot. Didn't see a ranger once. Had to quit after 4 hours only completing 14 holes.
Treated as out of towners
Had the first tee time of the day at this municipal course, but our twosome was put off second by the unfriendly pro shop cashier so locals could get off before us. This bumped our tee off 15 minutes. Fortunately, the first group let us play through on #3. Greens and fairways in excellent shape, but the rest of the course was average. Long par 4s posed challenges, but no stand-out holes. For the $49 we paid, our money would have been better spent elsewhere and our patronage appreciated.

Great value. Terrific shape for a muni - tee boxes and fairways very good. Greens outstanding. We'll be back.

Pristine greens
We played this course on advice of some people we were paired up with at a different course. It's a municipal course close to downtown Phoenix, and abutting a kiddie part. The fairways wet very nice and the greens just a green and pristine as any higher end golf course. The layout was nice, not your typical up and down muni course . Except for the nonstop takin horn toots from the kiddie park next door, it was a serene little course.

Beautiful Day
The course has a great layout and has challenging holes with bunkers and water getting in the way on occasion. Has quite a few dog-legs to make it interesting and a very good price for a Friday.

Last round of the week before flying home
Nice course. Challenging from the back tees with very long par 4s, fast greens and tough pin placements. Played with some friendly locals and enjoyed our afternoon.

Old School but in great shape
Awesome greens! Wide open! Great for beginners.......love the older area of the city and the older style.......gotta break away from the typical desert courses once in a while.
