Encanto Golf Course

Course was in great shape for being hot as it is. Fair price. Good layout

The greens at Encanto are always good. I haven't played there in over a year and I was surprised at how good the overall condition of the course was. Fairways were green and there was actually some rough. This time of the year you have to play fast because its so hot. We got around in just under 3 hours.

the course will be excellent in 2 weeks..... tee boxes and greens were superior even in this heat.... you needed to move the ball around a bit because of the aerating but that was okay...

This course has been a favorite of many over the years especially when the heat starts to pick up in the valley. The worst thing is no ice or ice chest provided, or water jugs to hydrate golfer(s) around the course. Grant it it's a municipal course but drinking fountains can be like drinking from a garden hose. The on site grill is not open anymore or maybe just weekends. The pro shop does have some refreshments but the snacks are very limited. This is an easy playing course but be aware of the limited on site amenities before booking a good rate. They need improve to have me coming back again.

Greens were sketchy and fairways were sketchier, lots of dead spots thruout course but to be completely fair our group has run into this on some other courses on the west side although their greens were in much better shape.....

Fairways were okay condition, traps were bad, heavy wet sand. Putting out of traps was best. The greens were the best part, moderate to fast and smooth.

I always enjoy playing this track.

Staff not very personable I also am in the golf business and can't emphasize how important the first point of contact can be.

Additionally, a great reason for repeat customers.

No food. No ice. Dirt tee boxes. Dead fish. Dead birds.

Course is pretty ,icy dead. Really bad shape and very little grass in fairways. Better off bring in the rough, since it's at least longer dead stuff to sit on, as opposed to hard dirt. Don't play here this summer.

Have golfed at Encanto many many times. Understand that it's becoming hot in Phoenix course is extremely dry and cut very thin greens are good gentleman in the clubhouse could use some customer service skills. When inform them I was a GolfNow purchaser they said oh you're one of them

This course is pretty flat. Could use a little TLC. Greens were slow.

I have been trying to book a tee time at Encanto for a week and keep getting an error message. finally called the course to book and found rates had gone up compared to what I was usually paying on Golf Now. Is this a gimmick Encanto is using in order to generate more revenue ? If so, this may be the last time I play Encanto - even though I have enjoyed playing the course. Please let me know if Encanto is going back to on-line booking soon.

Had a fun time playing Encanto. I received the hot deal off golf now which was great. Only downside is that a friend who ended up playing with us wasn't able to get the same deal. While I paid $14, he spent over $42 to play with us.

I get it, it's a downtown course so the price stays higher than normal courses in its condition. But come on, please get the cart girl out there and open the restaurant and this place would be much better.. has lots of potential!

Course was only a mediocre one. There were no amenities on the course, and the restaurant was shut down. There were water coolers, but the water was not very cold for a hot day on the course. The clubhouse staff were very short and Kurt with us, and clearly over their head In dealing with the public. I would not recommend this course, and the price was not worth the value. The only positive I can give this course is the views of the city.
