The Encanto Nine Golf Course lies to the west of Encanto Park, and offers an executive-length golf course perfect for anyone who seeks a fast-and-loose round, with tee times passed out first-come-first-served. About an hour and a half is usually all it takes to play through the golf course.
The Encanto Nine Golf Course sits in the heart of Phoenix, and claims the honor of being the third-oldest golf course in Arizona and features a casual vibe, perhaps due in part to the foliage. Abundant natural palms line the golf course, and between them golfers can catch beautiful glimpses of downtown Phoenix. The course was designed by William P. Bell.

Good conditions, bad timing.
Greens were excellent, fun course. Unfortunately, the grounds crew was in full force across the entire course; cutting grass, trimming palm trees, driving back and forth across the fairways and near greens/tee boxes. Distracting, but can’t complain about the course itself.

May Golf at Encanto (first timer)
Good for beginner and veteran golfers alike! Nice course to sharpen up approach shots and manage control while putting. Loved the flatter layout, especially in the AZ heat! Minimal shade, so come prepared. Got paired up with an awesome local who mentioned he plays there almost daily!
Well worth it
This course has a bad rep because of the area so ai decided to try it for myself and I’m glad I did. Nice little nine hole, good value for the money and staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back!
Nice little getaway from a crazy work week
If you are one of those golf purists who says golf has to involve everyone wearing pants and a polo, Encanto is not for you. If you're looking to find a place to get in a quick 9 on a course close to downtown Phoenix with surprisingly great greens and fairways, then give Encanto a shot. I've played $24 rounds before....and never had anything in this good of condition.
Wonderful experience
Staff very accommodating and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us. Tipping refused as per policy. Wide fairways, no water, no sand, fun course. Great electronics on the cart. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing, 2-some round. Thank you! .
