Vistal Golf Club

I played this course over thanksgiving and it was in decent shape, at least the greens were in good shape. But this past week or was a totally different course. For one thing they painted the greens and fairways green?! It looks ridiculous lol! The greens were bumpy and shaggy. And pace of play was slooooooow! 5 hrs on a Wednesday !! The price was the cheapest in the valley but you get what you pay for.

Course had some very interesting holes . Would not take much to make it a better course. The greens could be better

My husband & I enjoyed another couple for the first time playing this couse. Played on a beautiful day with gorgous views on the course! Course was in pretty good shape & really is a great value for green fees. Very friendly staff & food & bev specials! Would definately play again!

Course was in good shape, greens were firm and fast. Bunkers were a little hard with some having little to no sand. Overall course plays fair and if you keep in fairway you will get lots of roll. The holes that go along the base of South Mtn are fun to play and scenic views are nice. Staff very friendly. It was a good day to play with my friends and helped pass time as play could get slow at times. That is to be expected when playing on a weekend in Jan.

"Ready golf" refers to a method for golfers to speed up play. Simply put, "ready golf" means that each golfer within a group hits when ready.

The course was in fair condition. As always, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Great value for the money.

This course looks simple but has trouble if you go left or right. Fun Course!

The course was in pretty good shape. They keep the price down by limited watering which is a good idea in Phoenix. The fairways were mostly green and the greens were good. It does get backed up on par 3s but it was only 2 days after the Super Bowl so every course was crowded.

OK condition only. Not a destination course. Green fees are low. Winter conditions, no rough, poor greens.

I have played 8 different courses in the greater Phoenix area in the last 14 days and the greens at Vistal are the slowest. Hard to play consistent golf when the greens are so slow!

Good course for the money especially this time of the year. Other similar courses are overpriced and not in any better condition. Layout of holes is interesting and challenging especially the par 3's. Planning to play again next week.

course is challenging and many holes have great views. The staff is very friendly and are quick to help in all ways
the greens are tricky to putt on. the fairways are narrow but the rough is short and forgiving. there are many holes that are deceivingly difficult because the ball need to carry bunkers. Elevation changes make club selections very hard. All in all an excellent golf course.

Lots of bunkers.The difficulty is in the way some of the greens are hidden and how they are guarded by bunkers.Fairways need work.Greens hold well and roll nicely.If you can play for $40.00 or less it is a good value.

the fairways and greens were painted green. this made putting very difficult. it seemed the paint made the grass lie in all directions and clump together in some spots. Very deep sand traps!

Very nice course, excellent views. The course is right on south mountain which was really nice! We had to postpone our tee time a few days and the staff was very nice about it and everything went very well!

Great staff. Great views. Just needs a little better putting area. Chipping area would be nice. Other than that it's a wonderful course.

course was fun but painted to hide its shortcomings. fairways painted green, but really not in that bad of shape. GEENS PAINTED< SO HARD TO READ BUT OVERALL AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE> .for the price, a ood value. Would play again. The greens do not always break away from the mountain.

I enjoyed being paired with out of town visitors from Montana. We never had to wait more than a minute for the group ahead of us. The weather was perfect and the conditions were ideal.

would recommend this course to all I especially liked the tee box on the side of the mountain and hitting down to the fairway also the view of downtown Phoenix is awesome as well as the view of jets taking off and landing at the airport
