About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Golfer Reviews
Awesome
This course is an absolute must play everything from the bag drop guy to the man who’s name is Tom working the front desk was very polite and super friendly. The course was in beautiful shape and would play it everyday if I could. If your not sure about spending a little extra money on a round a golf I promise you the memories you will get from this place will change your mind! 10/10 recommend.
Aeration
I play this course when I visit SC. Haven't played golf in Myrtle Beach area in July in a long time. I didn't know this is aeration time. I know it's a necessary evil to aerate but I wish Golfnow would mention that BEFORE I commit to a tee time. I'll be back in September and look forward to nice greens.
Worst golf experience maybe ever
Played this course man times but... They lied about course conditions when booking, the greens were the worst I have played in 10 years. The bag drop was very disrespectful. Would not bring juniors here
Loved it but not for beginners
A fantastic challenging course with many carries , layup and even a few where do you hit it shots. I loved it but brought a few novice golfers and they didn't enjoy the challenge as much. I can't wait to play again
Disappointed
Course was not what I expected for a course to charge the amount charged, liked the layout and greens but a little disappointed I rest of course condition!!
Three great finishing holes, but that's about it
Glen Dornoch is a tired facility with run down amenities and is a bad value for the money you pay. They sell you a pathetic small bag of range balls for $7 and in order to save on the fact they don't have enough golf carts, they tell you that you can't drive your cart up to the range area. I've never heard of this being done anywhere I have ever played! The bathrooms on the course are in rough shape, and the cart path slabs have some serious ruptures/bumps. The saving grace are the holes that face or parallel the intercoastal waterway, and generally the layout is pretty challenging.
The Door Knocker
First time playing this course. Was expecting fantastic things. Unfortunately was disappointed with the overall experience and the staff. As a twosome we were paired with another twosome, no problem with that whatsoever. At the turn we were one full hole ahead of the group behind us. We stopped to buy a drink and the Marshall hassled us to hurry up and get going because there was an open hole ahead of us. To add insult to injury two drinks for $32 come on now. Course was in good condition for the time of year. Would like to play again. Payed $50.00 good value at that money.
😲Ranger😲
3 Occasions the ranger come up to me when I'm about to hit my second shot IN THE FAIRWAY!! I look at him and he just sat looking at me, saying nothing!?? Then I say...can I help you...what do you need? Ranger Response... just writing down your cart number and time.
I was playing with 2 others, NEVER did the ranger approach them, meanwhile group in front was taking their time. So obviously he didn't do the same and when asked why he keep coming up to ME...reply " I have to write down cart numbers and times"
🤣WHAT!!
I called front desk and asked if I was wrong by being approached IN FAIRWAY about to hit SECOND SHOT and he agreed he'd also be 😡!
Said he would talk with ranger and I replied that I would stop and get rangers response.
I stopped in and GM was there.
RANGER LIED!
I said...I would love for him to come and talk with me present.
GM ARMS FOLDED AND SHRUGGED SHOULDERS😲
😡DIDN'T CARE😡
✊🏾I FELT SINGLED OUT✊🏾
(2) others playing with me AGREED
Slow Play- Nice Conditions
Took my foursome 5 hours 20 minutes to Play 18..Rangers didn't seem to do anything about the Slow Play..Questioned them twice about it. Course was in Nice Condition..Staff at Golf Bag Drop off was rude and would not let me put my Clubs on the Golf Cart...not sure what that was about..they charged me an additional 3.75% to Pay with my Credit card..NEVER had that happen at a Golf Course before.
I would not Pay over $50 to Play this Course...I Paid $91 plus Fees..Based on this and SLOW PLAY I won;t be coming back to Glen Dornach
