Willowcreek Golf Course
About
Willowcreek Golf Course in Sun City has one regulation length 18-hole course, the Willowcreek Course, as well as one executive length course, the Willowbrook Course. The traditional layout of the Willowcreek Course features three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on four holes. The course is relatively flat but there are some minor rolling hills that cause uneven lies. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition on both courses and they are both considered very user-friendly. The Willowcreek Golf Course facility used to be private but it is now open to the public.

6+ hour rounds & goups of 6 acceptable
Title says it all. I’ve played here twice... first time I was stacked up behind several groups of 5, which I was told is standard at this course. Today, I was pinned behind a tournament with all groups having 6, with no mention during booking. Asking the course about this, they said there is no golf standard for pace of play and I shouldn’t come on weekends because they are busy. I argued that it wasn’t because of a busy day, it was because they had 6somes and the guy shrugged his shoulders.
No carts! No pull carts!!!
What a joke of a golf course charges way too much for their course and then doesn’t have carts or pull carts… won’t ever come back here. Not worth the drive
No Carts?
Got there 45 min before tee time. Drove 40 min to get there. Was about to pay when another customer told me to wait to pay cause they had no carts available. We ended up leaving and playing at a course with carts.
Thursday golf
My friend and I enjoyed this course very much. It may not be your typical AZ course lots of trees no cactus. Greens in great shape as were the fairways. We will be back.
Low price only
Overall poor conditions. Greens are terrible. Ball marks everywhere. Putts do not stay on line as they bounce their way to the hole. Good tee shots are punished as the fairways are thin and do not hold a shot. I had several drives that went somewhat down the middle of the fairway and over the top of rises only to find the ball all the way to the right or left depending on the slope. The rough is cut low almost to the dirt. The ball just rolls down to the bottom. Poor etiquette by fellow golfers. I had two balls on different holes taken by other golfers who came into my fairway and played my ball because they didn't find theirs. Guys identify your ball before you play it. If you see a ball in a fairway other than the fairway you are playing……maybe it is the golfers PLAYING THAT HOLE. The only good thing was that the price was reasonable for late afternoon.
Course coming around
Greens are more consistent. Course layout is pretty good. Only issue was tee was open for 30 minutes before us and instead of sending us out they turned us in to a fivesome, made no sense. All great guys but pace could have been so much better as a 2 and a 3. Like the course, especially as a deal.
Great course great pace of play
As always this course is consistently the same. Great layout, play in a little over three and a half hours oh, and the course is always in good shape. Price is very reasonable as well as a lot of courses have raised their prices, but not their quality.
Wide open spaces
This course is beautiful, with several areas of water. Yet generally it is wide open, so the chances of losing a ball are slim.
Enjoyable
Our4-some played behind a 5-some on the front nine which slowed things down dramatically. This is the 2nd time I've played this course and both times it's been enjoyable. I've played a number of the other courses in the Sun City area, most of which the greens were in somewhat better condition. All in all, a good value in overall good condition and the weather was perfect.
Willow "CREEK"
Hard pan, around the greens, fairways too. Layout is fun and greens are fast. There is little forgiveness if you miss the fairway.
Good value but painfully slow
This was my first time on the course, but after three hours for 11 holes we just gave up.
