Sun City Country Club
About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

Golfer Reviews
Sun City CC
The course is one of my favorite to play in the hotter months because of all the trees shading the holes. While we had a good time playing this time the conditions were not what I was used to. Lots of bare gound in the fairways and several of the greens had bare spots on them. Maybe it's because of the cooler weather that the bermuda grass is having a hard time growing but hopefully it starts to fill in soon. Staff was very friendly. Golf carts can use some replacements.
Still Good
Sun City CC is a good course to play especially when it starts to warm up as it has lots of shade. This is one of our “ go to places” when it’s hot as the rates are always good as well.
Hidden Gem
Tight but fun layout. Play from the tips due to length but really great course. One of my favorites in the PHX area.
All Around Good Value
This is a fair course to play. I got to experience lots of bunker play today. For the most part, bunkers were more combo sand and dirt (not hard or soft) to hit out of. Of course, most driving holes were tree lined on both sides. Accuracy (keeping it Ball in the fairway) is key to score a low round. Greens were consistent throughout. Once you became familiar with the consistent hardness of the greens, it was easier to get a feel of the speed. I'd recommend to anyone experienced or not. This is a fair test of a golf course.
Course needs a makeover
Course is old.....just like the music at the clubhouse....needs major makeover....fairways dry an and crusty; rough is 4" thick, greens were pretty good, old gas carts....
First timer
Very friendly staff that answered all questions. Course is in good shape and played in 4 hrs 15 minutes. Good day of golf.
